This is the first time that I have come to this store, in Austin. I have shopped at the Whole Foods store in Vancouver for years.
I love the store, its layout and the friendly staff. They are knowledgeable and very professionals the way they help the shoppers.
The quality is good for everything we need.
Lots of good information on what’s available.
I also like bakery and the hot bar. I feel good after a meal here.
Thank you Whole Foods.
One of my favorite Whole foods locations, given they have a large cafeteria and so many options for hit food during lunch. I look forward to their seasonal lattes (a couple of my favorites are cardamom date and Dubai chocolate lattes). They also cage a great cafe and reasonably priced hot food, coffee, smoothies. Grocery price is a whole other topic ;)
Modern, organized, and perfectly situated in the heart of The Domain. The produce is always vibrant, and the prepared food section is a reliable go-to for a high-quality, quick lunch. The staff is professional, and the Amazon Prime integration makes the checkout process seamless. It’s a premium experience with prices to match, though I just hope everything is as truly organic as they claim it to be.
Update:
Whole Foods has addressed several of the issues previously noted: the conveyor, automatic doors, and broken glass doors have all been repaired. I genuinely appreciate the team’s efforts in improving the overall shopping experience, and I have updated my rating accordingly.
Still missing one star due to the following:
- The fresh juice station remains non-operational.
- The buffet/soup area continues to lack consistency. On multiple occasions, I have attempted to get soup around 7:00 pm, well within the stated service hours (until 8:00 pm), only to find the containers empty. Most recently, when I inquired about replenishment, I was met with a rather dismissive response: “Once she gets here, she’ll replace it,” with no clear sense of accountability.
Sky high prices and lacking service. I put an order for a birthday cake two days in advanced. My order was canceled without a reason while I was driving to pick it up.
I frequently shop at Costco and HEB. Quality wise I haven't noticed much of a difference but Whole Foods prices are 2-3x times higher sometimes. Also, take a look at this ground beef, it's almost black.
Personally I don't see what the hype is all about.
