A burrito is a Mexican dish characterized by a wheat flour tortilla. This tortilla is wrapped or folded into a cylindrical shape to completely enclose its filling. Historically, the term "burrito" was a regional name in Mexico, used in states such as Guanajuato, Guerrero, Michoacán, San Luis Potosí, Sonora, and Sinaloa. In these regions, it referred to what was known as a taco in other parts of the country.
