Paccheri is a type of pasta originating from the Campania region of Italy. It is characterized by its very large, tube-like shape, which can be either smooth or ribbed. The pasta is often served stuffed, or prepared with beans, or with ricotta and tomato sauce. Its name is derived from the Neapolitan word for 'slaps,' possibly referring to the sound it makes when eaten.
