There is an overall lack of spiciness in the food, even when the staff mentioned certain dishes were spicy. Seems like the taste is catered toward a western crowd, hence the Michelin recommendation.
Overall the taste is average, nothing really stands out. I would avoid if you are looking for proper Thai tasting food.
Food maybe really authentic local favorite, not many customers while visiting at 1900 hours. Food quality is not bad, just may not fit tourists perception in Thailand. Also, location is kinda out of tourists area as well.

BAAN was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely outstanding—every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and truly showcased creativity and quality.
The service, led by Ms. Cha, was impeccable. She was warm, attentive, and very professional, making the whole experience even more memorable. The entire team made us feel genuinely welcomed and well taken care of.
This is without a doubt one of the best restaurants of Chef Ton. A must-visit for anyone looking for world-class Thai dining. 🌟

Really great little restaurant off Lumpini Park. We ordered way too much food, which enabled us to sample a lot. The spring rolls were excellent. The green curry was beautiful (though the beef was a little too chewy). The pad Thai omelette was incredible. If we hadn’t gone overboard with ordering I would have eaten the whole thing. I loved the papaya salad and the pork skewers. Just a wonderful night out.

I learned of the word “Bâan” just this year from Gigguk’s anime film, and it honestly made me curious enough to try this place due to its namesake. I’m glad I did. :)
The coconut curry with chicken tasted wonderfully homely, rich, cozy, and full of warmth (you can also adjust the spice level), while the deep-fried pork was crisp and satisfying without feeling heavy. The whole experience felt genuine and welcoming, true to its name. A spot that really does taste like home (also met a kababayan :))… cue Kevin Penkin’s epic music.
