Stopped by for a couple of pints of the house-made Red Devil Amber. It was smooth, slightly sweet, and very enjoyable.
I also ordered the Bangers and Mash, which came with four small sausages, mashed potatoes, and steamed vegetables. While it wasn't the most flavorful version I've had, it was still tasty, hearty, and filling.
Overall, a good meal and a nice beer if you're looking for something easy to drink.
The Blue Elephant is a frequent place for our family dinners. We go a couple times a month for a big family dinner. I am personally not a big Thai food person. But I do love their pub food. They have something for everyone there.
The staff are amazing. I have come to know and become friends with many of them over the years. They know our whole family very well.
My favourite dishes are:
Oak Grown Shitake Cream soup - This is a Michelin Star level cream of mushroom soup. It's thick and creamy and I always burn my mouth eating it because I'm too impatient to wait for it to cool a little before devouring the bowl.
Chicken Wings - If you like a traditional pub style wing. Then these will hit the spot for you. I have never had bad wings from here. They're always consistent and I can crush a lot of them.
Thai egg Rolls - These are one of the few exceptions to my not liking much Thai food. I could smash a 100 of these and sell my kidney for more. I live them with the Thai chili sauce. It also comes with a plum but I prefer the sweet spicy combo instead. I find it truly balances and complements this dish.
The Crispy Chicken Sandwich - I either get this or a burger. But on this day I decided I wanted the chicken. I always get it with buffalo sauce and extra creamy blue cheese on the side. I love creamy blue cheese. I also get cheese sauce and gravy for their crispy coated fries. The combo just checks all the comfort food check boxes.
I normally get extra wings and Thai egg rolls to go. There is no such thing as too many wings and Thai Egg Rolls.
We stopped here for a pint after hiking in the area. So glad we did, great vibes and a cool little pub. The staff members were all super friendly. We had a few pints and some baked brie, it was all fantastic. Thanks staff at the blue elephant for a great time.
Great place with lots of great food and a lot of good Thai food as well. Flight deck was a great tasting and sharing experience. If you’re in the area, you must stop by!
The Blue Elephant was a great little pub to grab a pint and get a great bowl of chowder! Kim and Jessica provided a lively atmosphere minus the beer tap eye squirt (kidding!) and the tattoo showing…..Seriously, short visit as I was in town for a ball game but loved my time there!!!
