What a unique culinary experience. So highly recommended.
The atmosphere and service are superb. The DJ and music fit every course in a perfect manner. The wine selection is great. The food is extremely good with dishes that are very unique. For example, a dip made only from almonds that changed texture so you don't recognize what it is.
An extraordinary night that ended near a huge desert table to share.
3.5 stars
5 star for the atmosphere & the concept, it was fun and a great experience to see the cooking and plating.
3 stars for the food. I found it pretty decent & ok but not outstanding, there was some balance missing in the flavors and nothing that was particularly memorable. For the price I would expect that at least one dish would “Wow” me.
There’s a lot of room of improvement for the wine pairing. After waiting about 30 min for the sommelier to arrive, she asked “which one you want?”, then we asked for a wine recommendation to start with and we were told they are all good with the food (out of a list of 20 wines between red and white), not exactly what you would be expecting…
Finally there was no explanation in English for the dishes.
A very unique experience, amazing vibe and great service. The food however, was just okay. Cool techniques and stories, but nothing new in terms of taste.
For the price (400 NIS pp), I expected everything to be nothing short than excellent.
One of the best culinary experiences I had in Israel! The food was delicious and together with Barak's stories to follow, gave us deep and enjoyable journey in this magical space. Add to that the spotless service we got and some great wines to follow. Try not to be late and not to be shy.
In short: Don't come here. Food without uniqueness, bad service.
Food:
* Focaccia (bread type) and almond Tehina were really good (full of flavor but balanced)
*Dish of salad leaves (a lots of different leaf types such as: Kyle Selenova, coriander and more + yogurt stone) & Dish of roasted peppers (with yogurt and za'atar) , there were without uniqueness or personality and without taste. Really disappointing
* The octopus dose was relatively good
* The fish dose was terrible because it was dry. I only ate the spinach that was next to it.
* Butcher's steak probably wasn't cut right because it was too chewy. Unfortunately I couldn't really test the dish because the waitress took it from me before I could eat 1/4 of it (stayed 3/4 on the plate, 4 minutes past serving)
Service:
Waitresses - Uneven service (serving at different times to diners at the table). While I was eating the waitress took the dish for me (4 minutes after serving it) and "remembered" to ask if "I finished the dish", just after I - "I made a face" and after she already mixed my cutlery with the others cutlery customers )
Sommelier:
We brought a bottle of white wine from home. The Sommelier opened the wine and took it to cool and in the process, tasted it (without asking us if possible). When we commented on it, he yelled at us.
