Do yourself a favor and get to Cafe Lolo as soon as possible! Stopped in last weekend to check out the pastry case and the sonoran wheat buns looked too good to pass up, so we tried both the savory (rutabaga, kale, pecans) and the sweet (tahini with apple butter). Both were amazing. So we headed back to try brunch this weekend. Everything was so delicious. The beans on black bread, buckwheat blintzes, and einkorn cortados were the big standouts this time. Can't wait to try more of the menu!
Well balanced flavors with unique ingredients and combinations, and just deeply satisfying dishes. Plus a lovely atmosphere and very friendly, attentive service. 😍

We came for dinner for our one year wedding anniversary. We basically ate everything on the menu and can reliably say that this is the best restaurant we had in Seattle so far. All the vege dishes are very thoughtful, well executed, and balanced. The two pasta are very tasty. The beef one was definitely the highlight (will order two next time!). The bean one was not my favorite because there’s green onion in it but objectively it’s still a really good dish!! Other than the food, the servers are extremely nice and made us feel very welcomed. The store is cute and clean. Overall will definitely come back!! Like a lot !!

Got to try Cafe Lolo via Tasting Collective dinners and it might have been the first time I have rated every dish five stars. This place feels like a cozy book under a big tree daydreaming about the days between summer and fall. Great service, really good food and even better people behind all of it.

I’ve been anxiously anticipating the opening of Cafe Lolo for the last month. I dropped in on a whim during their soft opening and had a fantastic experience. The ambiance is perfect - warm, cozy, evoking old school bistros dotting the Danube or taverns in the French Alps. It’s a space whose warmth arrests you - I didn’t want to leave! I was greeted by Leila and Brett who made me feel right at home.
I had the cabbage salad and pesto pasta which left me feeling thoroughly nourished. The cabbage was roasted and perfectly tender, and the pasta, while deceptively humble, was full of flavor and care that I’d only expect from my Italian mother. The einkorn cortado is a must try - I’m excited to see their further explorations in grain based coffee drinks!
Before regrettably having to leave, I had a delicious oatmeal cookie and another little coffee. I was invited to drop by in the evening the following day for a special glass of Zinfandel. What a treat.
If you, like me, have fond memories of the magic atmosphere of Pettirosso or enjoy a bite and drink from Gainsbourg in Greenwood, you can’t miss Cafe Lolo. What a beautiful addition to the culinary tableau of Capitol Hill. I’m excited to see them grow!

We had such a lovely afternoon here! The cakes were absolutely delicious and so thoughtfully made. One of our favorites had local pecans glazed with caramel on top, and it honestly tasted incredible — rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced.
A huge thank you to Leah for making the experience even more special. She was so warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we walked in. Her kindness and positive energy truly stood out and made us feel right at home.
We’re visiting from Vancouver and this place ended up being one of the highlights of our Seattle trip. If we come back to Seattle again, we’ll definitely return — and hopefully see Leah again too!
Thank you for such a memorable experience 🤍
