Check out my IG Lillypulitzerstylist where I review 3 Nashville restaurants each week!
Today’s lunch spot was recommended to me over & over. Herban Market is an organic restaurant that serves grass fed beef, local eggs, and every sauce & bun is prepared from scratch. No seed oils. No soy. No GMO, preservatives or artificial sweeteners. They have a bakery, wine bar, coffee bar & grocery. It’s a wellness lovers dream. But what I didn’t expect to find… Was the sense of community. People on the patio talking & mingling for hours. I came for a solo lunch & left with 3 new friends.
Here’s what I recommend :
🌮 Birria Tacos - FIVE STARS
☕️ Caramel Latte - 4.5 stars
🍕 Meat Lovers Pizza - 4.5 stars
🐓 Chicken Salad BLT - 4 stars
🍔 Burger - 3 stars
🍅 tomato bisque soup - 3.7 stars
Next time I’d like to try the steak & eggs. I’d get the Birria tacos again FOR SURE.
In the six days I spent in Franklin, five of those days I went to Herban Market and six times I ordered the birria tacos! I was very impressed by the quality of the ingredients, the taste of the food, the compost system the owner uses for waste, the service, their coffee and cookies; really just everything! Even in the outside dining area they have signs up asking people to only forward facing park so as not to have the fumes blowing straight towards the tables. The owner really puts a lot of care and attention to making this a special place. I tried a few dishes and everything was really good, the tacos particularly blew me away because of how hard it is to find authentic Mexican food and these took me straight back to Mexico🙌 Cannot recommend this place enough
Chicken lettuce wraps were delish, just a little messy. Would have loved if they came already wrapped. But we love Herban Market and everything they stand for. Also I have to add, we went into the pantry and had the sweetest conversation with Evy. She was so helpful and kind- she even went next door to grab a sweatshirt I wanted when my size wasn’t available in the store. What a total sweetheart!
HEALTHY AND DELICIOUS. This place is almost always busy, which is a good sign. All organic. Guilt free options that are delicious. We've had the pancakes, breakfast sandwich, bowls, avocado toast, chillaqueles and traditional breakfast. All delicious. Nice market but small, with mostly dry goods and prepared foods. Coffee and lattes are good too. Outside area to eat when weather is nice. It is expensive but worth it given the quality ingredients and decent sized portions.
Walk up service counter serving extremely fresh salads and burgers. The messy burger was phenomenal. All the flavors blend perfectly. It is truly messy.
