I recently visited Khinkali House and overall the experience was good, mainly because of the food.
The food is excellent—very tasty and authentic Georgian cuisine. Everything we tried had great flavor, and you can really enjoy the traditional dishes here. The place itself is also very nice, with a lively atmosphere. There’s a bar area on the ground floor with a strong sound system that makes the vibe energetic.
We chose to sit on the first floor, which I actually recommend because it’s quieter and you can still have a proper conversation with your group.
However, the service needs improvement. The food was delivered one dish at a time with about 8–10 minutes between each, so our table ended up waiting a long time for everyone’s meals. It would have been better if the staff had informed us in advance that it would take that long. Also, English communication was a bit difficult with some of the servers.
Overall:
Great food and atmosphere
Service and communication could be better
Still worth visiting for the food, especially if you want to try authentic Georgian dishes
This was the first restaurant I tried when I arrived in Tbilisi, Georgia. My tour guide brought me here. The service was great, and the place felt a little classy. I really enjoyed the food — especially the dumplings (I’m not sure what they’re called in Georgian) and the pizza-like dish with a lot of cheese ( hicupure)which is also part of their local cuisine. Everything was delicious!

A true Georgian restaurant, popular with locals and serving authentic traditional Georgian cuisine. Some dishes may not be for everyone, but they are genuine and reflect the country's culinary traditions. The atmosphere is incredibly lively, with live music and performances throughout the evening. If you feel like it, you can even dance in front of the stage. Of all the places we visited, this was by far the most vibrant and the one where we truly experienced the warm, festive spirit of the Georgian people. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

We ordered delivery from Khinkali House Avlabari, and everything was great. We had the small Megruli Khachapuri, Chvishtari (cheese fried corn bread), Pkhali, and Nigvziani Badrijani (eggplant with walnut). The food arrived hot, fresh, and the portion sizes were generous! Everything tasted authentic, and the packaging was neat and secure. recommend restaurant for anyone who wants to enjoy or try Georgian food.

We went to this restaurant a couple of times and enjoyed our evening meals there. I especially loved the chicken shkmeruli. Absolutely delicious!
The seating is really comfortable quite private booths, which we liked.
The service was good, one waiter in particular spoke really good English which was a bonus.
We also thoroughly enjoyed the live music and traditional dancing. Thank you!
