We had our wedding at Upper House and we cannot recommend it enough! The venue is absolutely beautiful, the rooms are pristine, and the food was amazing.
From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our day ran seamlessly. They were incredibly kind, friendly, and approachable throughout the entire process, while always remaining professional and attentive. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their support helped make our wedding day completely stress-free.

Absolutely beautiful place. We got married here on the 20th June and it was the most magical experience. From the get go it was smooth sailing, Keeley and the team were amazing going above and beyond to make our day special. Cant thank everyone enough for all their help and the accommodations they made, especially as we had our dogs included in our big day. 100% reccomend getting married here, the grounds are beautiful and rooms are immaculate. The resident cats are absolutely adorable aswell. Thank you everyone
This place is amazing from the moment you turn into the driveway. The place is extremely clean and friendly. It won't break the bank either, prices are very reasonable. I had the Prawn starter which was amazing and the Rump Steak was cooked to perfection. Rooms cleaned and everything you need. Grounds are fantastic. Shame is wasn't a little warmer, but non the less we had a great time there and would certainly recommend. Dog friendly and also has friendly cats wondering around. Try the Churnet Valley Railway too, nice experience.
A lovely homely hotel situated in several acres of countryside. Two resident cats, Bella and Cookie make it an ideal home from home for any cat lovers!

Parking can be tricky if there's an event being hosted but it's never actually been an issue. EV charging available at the top of the car park.
We had a wonderful stay in the Bridgewater room, with amazing views. The beautiful house is set in a quiet location with lovely grounds.

Room was spotless, good sized TV and kettle with good variety of tea/coffee/hot choc and biscuits. Bathroom was also spotless with a great shower.
We had an evening meal and breakfast, both of which were delicious with very good quality ingredients.
We hope we can visit again someday.
