One of the most beautiful hotels in all of Sorrento. The location was perfect - right around the corner from the piazza but on a quiet street so you don’t have the noise. I loved the balcony that I would sit out on everyday and enjoy the beautiful views. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated and the daily breakfast was delicious. But it was the staff that made the experience incredible. They are all so friendly. Antonio and Carmen were the best! I would see them almost every day and they were so sweet and made me feel like family. If/ when I go back to Sorrento I will definitely stay at Ara Maris again.
Amazing hotel in the perfect location
We had a brilliant stay at Ara Maris. The best way I can describe it is like a high-end, modern London hotel tucked just around the corner from the centre of Sorrento. It’s in a perfect location, within two minutes of leaving the hotel, you’re right in the heart of the town.
The staff were all incredibly polite, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and the interior design of the hotel is beautiful. Everything feels modern, stylish and very well thought out.
Our room was comfortable, spacious and extremely well equipped, with some really nice touches including a clothes steamer and even a Dyson Airwrap. We also had a fantastic sea view and could see Mount Vesuvius in the distance.
The pool area is lovely, very relaxing, spotlessly clean and never felt overly busy. The rooftop bar is another highlight, with amazing views across Sorrento and the Bay of Naples, both during the day and at night.
Overall, we couldn’t fault our stay. Ara Maris combines a luxury, modern hotel experience with an excellent location for exploring Sorrento.
We would 100% recommend Ara Maris to anyone visiting Sorrento and would happily stay here again!

Our stay at Ara Maris in Sorrento was exceptional from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. Knowing we had just completed a flight of more than 10 hours, they even arranged an early check-in so we could settle in and relax right away. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive.
The resort itself is absolutely spectacular, and our oceanfront suite gave us the most breathtaking views. The food was beyond excellent. They have an incredible way of taking even the simplest ingredients and dishes and elevating them to the next level. Every meal felt fresh, beautifully prepared, and truly memorable.
Everything about our experience felt special, thoughtful, and luxurious. We truly could not have been happier with our stay and would highly recommend Ara Maris to anyone visiting Sorrento!

We absolutely loved our stay at Ana Maris Hotel in Sorrento. The interiors are stunning — the blue tones throughout the hotel felt so elegant, fresh, and perfectly coastal, and the whole property had such a beautiful, elevated feel.
Our room was also incredibly comfortable. We especially appreciated the strong air conditioning, the king-size bed, and the dual vanity, which made getting ready feel so much easier and more luxurious.
The staff truly made the stay even better. We had an event in Positano on a day when the ferries weren’t able to run because of the waves, and they immediately helped arrange a car for us. What could have been a stressful situation was handled so quickly and seamlessly.
The location is fantastic as well — we were within easy walking distance of so many charming shops, restaurants, and cafés in Sorrento, which made it really easy to explore without needing transportation.
Ana Maris felt beautiful, comfortable, and incredibly well located. We had such a special stay and would absolutely stay here again the next time we’re in Sorrento.

A luxurious and relaxing stay in a central location within easy walking location of central Sorrento and the marina. A tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, with stunning panoramic views from our room of the Bay of Naples with the imposing silhouette of Mt Vesuvius. The room had all necessary facilities, was clean, and the air conditioning was perfect to refresh after a day exploring Sorrento and the surrounding regions in the heat. Staff were attentive, friendly and helpful with excellent recommendations for local food and activities. The in house food and drinks at the restaurant and sky bar were excellent, although slightly pricey. The breakfast was delicious, although there were limited options compared to some buffets, and some options were not included in the price of the stay. The outdoor pool area was an oasis of luxury and calm, and the hotel spa facilities were a very relaxing way to spend a couple of hours. Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing stay and if we were to return to Sorrento, which is highly likely, we would look to stay here again.
