Additional Details
Bullgogi Manchester is positioned as the largest Korean BBQ restaurant in the UK, providing a comprehensive Korean dining experience in the heart of Manchester.
This was my third visit because I previously enjoyed the bulgogi here. Unfortunately, this time was extremely disappointing.
We ordered the same “marinated bulgogi” as before, but instead received two portions that were almost entirely beef fat. It was shocking and completely ruined our appetite. The dish was simply inedible.
We also ordered lettuce leaves and daikon as sides, each costing £3-4, which feels overpriced for such small portions (around seven lettuce leaves).
When we asked the waiter to replace or cancel the dish, we were told this was not possible. We ended up picking through fatty pieces instead of enjoying our meal. At the end, when asked if everything was fine, I honestly explained the issue, but no apology was offered.
Very disappointing food quality and service. I would not recommend this place again.
Great variety of items on the menu. The meat was pretty good quality and the prices were somewhat reasonable considering the portion sizes. They had an easy-to-use ordering machine on the table which was great especially if you want to keep adding to your order without having to keep waving a waiter. They had a decent selection of banchans too and I particularly appreciated that they had fresh kimchi on the menu as it’s a more bigger-friendly variation that not a lot of other restaurants have. The tableware also felt really authentic as it reminded me of my past dining experiences in Korea. Another plus are grill vents that did an amazing job at sucking most of the smoke which made the smell on our clothes minimal. Just one let down was the lack of space on the table for our order. I feel like having some kind of extension or small side table might’ve helped. Apart from that I definitely would go back again!

One of the best Korean BBQ experiences we’ve had in London! The highlight was definitely the tabletop grill where we could cook everything ourselves, which made the whole dinner fun, interactive, and perfect for sharing.
We tried three different types of meat for the BBQ — beef, pork, and chicken — and all of them were fresh, tender, and full of flavour. The marinades and seasonings were excellent, especially with the variety of Korean dips and sauces served on the side. Everything tasted authentic and really well prepared.
What made the experience even better was the large selection of side dishes and salads that came with the meal. The kimchi was especially delicious — fresh, spicy, and full of flavour — and it paired perfectly with the grilled meat. We also loved wrapping the meat with vegetables and trying different sauce combinations Korean-style.
The atmosphere was amazing too: cozy, lively, and relaxed with great music playing in the background. The staff were friendly and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we received.
If you enjoy Korean BBQ or want to try something different and interactive with friends or family, this place is absolutely worth visiting. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Portions are solid and flavors are balanced, not too heavy on spice.
Place gets busy at dinner so booking is smart.
Tasty, social, and great value for a Korean BBQ night in the city.

We had the most amazing Korean BBQ in Manchester. The staff were very welcoming and attentive when we arrived and we got seated almost immediately.
Ordering your food was so quick and convenient as you can do it on the tablet on the table and food comes in few minutes. Portion sizes are generous and you’ll get your moneys worth. Taste wise, the food was outstanding and we basically had a feast on our table as we kept ordering because it was so good!
To top it off, they have exceptional offers and promotions. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Manchester as the location is right at the centre of the city.
