Awards & Recognition
World's Best Pastry Chef • 2018

Awarded "World's Best Pastry Chef" in 2018 Cedric Grolet continues to train some of the best bakers in the world to this day, his commitment to excellence generating long lines at the Paris Opera location while guests visiting Monaco can experience Viennoiserie and Entremets or a full Breakfast on the bottom floor of Hôtel de Paris.
Half boutique and half tea room, early arrivals without wait while those later are recommended to reserve, it is inside a minimalist space with clean lines that diners will find everything from €12 Pan Suisse to €25 Cookies featuring the best imported Ingredients one can buy.
Enjoyed best along Avenue des Beaux-Arts, the Pan Suisse truly superb with shattering layers of Butter surrounding Dark Chocolate Chips, Cookie Chocolat Coco is approximately twice the size of a “traditional” Cookie with a Sable style base decorated in what can best be described as melting puddles of Cocoa and Cookie Butter with curls of Coconut, though its "value" is dubious.
Sepctacular.
I've been following Cedric for a long time and couldn't wait to try his products.
Expectations were high and I suspected that something would not work because I read various comments on other shops about their products where people rave about various things, but here everything was spectacular.
Even the girl who waited for us in front of the restaurant was a bit confused, confused whether she was going to assign us a table or not, and then I thought, here is the problem, but in the end she seated us and the fun has begun.
Omar the person who brought us menu was very kind, pleasant, patient and help us to choose the best things for us. We ordered and another very kind and nice boy brought us everything. When we started to try everything we ordered it was really spectacular. Literally every bite is amazing and you can feel it.
Definitely a well-rounded experience from the brand, products, atmosphere, interior, people all great. Definitely a special experience and highly recommended.
The desserts are worth to try, but for me, it feels like it’s too sweet. Even though the size is smaller than I expected, it’s hard to finish one dessert for one person. The interior looks amazing I can see the designers conception, but I still think the menu is overpriced. amazing that you can find Christmas desserts during the Christmas time in Monaco the location is just in the front of Monte Carlo Casino.
I follow Cedric quite long and finally could e joy without the long lines in Paris. The hype is worth it, soooooo delicious , the combination of taste, beauty and textures in one dessert !
The service was an extra surprise, with the hint to use the take away (better price) and go to the gardens close to the Casino and enjoy the sea and view while eating ! This was an extra point for them.
wow !! Congrats !!
The price is definitely high, but for me it’s clear: this isn’t something you treat yourself to every day. That said, it tasted absolutely exceptional. You can immediately tell that only high-quality, premium ingredients are used.
The packaging and everything around it are also extremely high quality… elegant, thoughtful, and perfectly in line with the high standards.
There are certainly many imitators who offer similar products for a lower price, but it’s hard to match the original. It’s important to remember that what is created here goes far beyond ordinary pastries… it is true art.
