We had a reservation at Gold, came half an hour early and was told to come back on time. When we were there at the reservation time, we were told by the front lady that our table wasnt free yet, she doesn't know when it will be so she offered an indoor table -ours was reserved for the outdoor. Anyway thankfully the resposible gentleman came to us and said our table would be ready in 2mins. After that our dinner was much better. 4 people ordered 8 dishes and all of them very good, top place goes to the squid grill, then the cauliflower. Both carpaccios were tasty and big enough to share between 4. I wouldnt care for stracciatella again but purple potatoes were very delicious with the mustard sauce. Cocktails were also really nice as well.
We went to the Gold for Dinner and it was an amazing experience. The lighting, plants and furniture give you the feeling of a living room in a garden. Service was amazing! We were served (and entertained) by Amy, who was very attentive and friendly. The food was special and versatile. We had four different “signature” cocktails and all of them were delicious. Would recommend to everyone!!
100% must-go when in London. I understand why one needs a reservation. The place is packed! But not to the extent it becomes annoying. The door hostess was very customer-oriented, informing us the table was not ready yet. 10 minutes later it was and we were escorted to the most favorite table in the restaurant and I understand why. Nice overview of the restaurant on the first floor, plants everywhere and amazing atmosphere. Our Italian table host from the start was an absolute pleasure to have around. Cracking jokes, being honest and absolutely good in what she does, she advised us not to have too many dishes and boy was she right! The menu was explained to us and afterwards we had a great and above all, very tasty dinner! Later on we were asked to move to another table to have our dessert and some drinks, which, in my opinion was very professionally done.
10/10 recommend and definitely coming back here!
Beautiful place. With different seating. Amazing selections.
But why so much lettuce on the buratta and alot of spinach on the carpaccio?
Other than that everything was so good. The combo of sweet onion and feta was divine.
Juicy short ribs ravioli
N the steak 🤤🤤
Simply amazing dishes you cnt go wrong in anything you order.. Just tell them less greenery on the first two dishes i mentioned so you can taste it better
It pains me to write this review as the service and ambiance of the venue were pretty good but the food fell short.
1. The tuna carpaccio: bland
2. The octopus: somehow managed to be bland and over seasoned at the same time with this red powdery spice (paprika?? Sriracha??). Also couldn’t taste the octopus as it was so thinly sliced and overpowered by this seasoning.
3. Cauliflower: okay, not tasty, not wow, just okay
4. The cabbage (3rd picture, bottom right): decent, it was edible
5. The aubergine (3rd picture, top right): again, decent, bit bland but edible
6. The ravioli: decent but over salted
7. Chicken (no picture as I gave up at this point): so salty that I had heartburn
