Délices du Moment is a unique establishment in Biarritz, functioning as both an artisanal ice cream parlor and a bakery. They pride themselves on using local, fresh ingredients, notably milk and products from Bailia farm in Bardos for their ice creams, and offering organic Basque fruit juices. The bakery section provides a variety of breads and pastries, including specific dietary options like gluten-free bread.
Customer Perception
Customer perception is mixed. Positive feedback highlights the delicious artisanal ice cream, the quality and taste of various breads (especially apricot and pumpkin, and gluten-free options), and friendly service. However, negative reviews frequently mention issues with the freshness of baked goods, such as stale spelt bread or old strawberries in tartlets, and some savory items like the tandoori wrap have been described as inedible.
Additional Details
The ice creams are crafted using milk and fresh products sourced directly from Bailia farm in Bardos, located in the heart of the Basque Country. They also offer organic fruit juices from the Basque region.
Based on available information, the establishment is open Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 2 PM to 7 PM. These hours might be specific to ice cream sales or seasonal. For bakery items, visiting earlier in the day is generally recommended for the freshest selection.

A very bad experience. The woman was unpleasant and aggressive.
Last weekend, I bought two crème brûlées. The young woman told me that the ramekins had a €1 deposit each, so a €2 deposit.
Today, I went back to this bakery to buy a baguette and return the two ramekins to get my deposit back. The elderly woman who served me (the owner, I think) took the ramekins back... but simply kept the €2 deposit without giving it to me!
I find this practice absolutely unacceptable. If a deposit is charged to the customer, it must be returned when the container is brought back.
It's not about the €2, but about the principle and the lack of honesty. I will never set foot in this bakery again.
I tried this bakery for the very first time. Not a single customer. The owner was on her phone, talking about her life for three minutes, just enough time for me to point out that the pastries were pale and shriveled. Seeing no reaction from her, I left the shop. Then she said, "What do you want?" in an aggressive tone, so I didn't even turn around. I heard a barrage of direct verbal insults coming from behind me (I had to censor the exact words for my review to be published, so you can imagine...). I went over to tell her that this is how she speaks to a potential customer, and she has the nerve to reply, "Did you hear how you were talking?" While I didn't say a word except "Hello," and she didn't even glance at me, I told her I'd never received such a welcome in my life. She said she didn't care at all and that she was talking to the hospital, even though their conversation was anything but professional. She showed me her phone, which had "Carlita" written on it, then flew into a rage and told me, "If you're not happy, go to Carrefour." Seeing that there was absolutely nothing to be gained from this, if you can even call her that, "businesswoman," I decided to leave.
In short, avoid this establishment. Their customer service and products are unworthy of a business, especially one in such a prime location.

I tried this bakery a few months ago and was baffled by the rating given by the "local guides."
I went back a first, a second, a third time, trying the bread, the pastries, and especially the friendly service.
Honestly, everything was perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed it, with a special shout-out to the gluten-free bread and the little colored ribbon that holds the sandwiches together 😉. I still have 95% of their offerings to try.
Thank you 🙏

This morning I bought two loaves of spelt bread for almost €10 (two loaves), not counting the cents, and I came specifically for that. But she sold me yesterday's spelt bread.
I'm shocked, and I'll never go back. I think the owner may have assumed I wasn't from around here because of my accent. But unfortunately for her, I am from here and I know the area very, very well.
I'll never go back, especially now that there's so much more choice and honest bakeries that make excellent spelt bread and other types of bread.
A word of advice: instead of selling yesterday's products, frozen or not fresh, either sell them at half price or give them away to those who can't afford them. At least then you'll be doing something honest and good for others.
Your bakery only survives because it's located next to the road in Docks, a well-known area, and people are used to going there. As for me, I'll never set foot in there again.

Don't even think about ordering the tandoori wrap. It was inedible. I was so disappointed, especially considering the price. I took two bites and had to throw it away. The coffee éclair was good.
I won't be back.
