Best Times to Visit
The happy hour, typically from 4 to 6 pm, is highly recommended. It's also an ideal location for pre-theater dinner due to its Midtown location.
Amazing happy hour till 6pm. We tried their lychee martini cocktail and could not stop reordering them. Delicious small plates sushi, baos and edamame dumplings. Had a great evening in their gorgeous lounge area.
Beautiful interior and such a great atmosphere overall. The hostesses were incredibly sweet and accommodating from the moment we arrived. We did end up moving from our original reserved seats because that side of the restaurant was awfully hot, but the staff handled it kindly and quickly which I appreciated.
Now onto the food — the truffle mushroom fried rice was delicious. It leaned a little salty for my personal taste, but it was still very well cooked with a crisp, savory lingering flavor that kept me going back for more. We also ordered the wagyu, which honestly melted in your mouth exactly how wagyu should, and the scallops were absolutely delicious as well.
I will say since the restaurant is still fairly new and extremely busy, it was a little difficult getting our server’s attention at times. The staff all seemed very overwhelmed and a bit understaffed. That said, everyone was still pleasant throughout the night and the food definitely made up for it

The Happy Hour menu was the reason Jennifer and I came here. Double Knot is newly opened and is located on West 51st Street. HH runs from 4 to 6 pm. On entering, the interior is fairly dark and looks romantic. There are two parts to this restaurant one of which is on the ground floor and the other in the lower ground floor. Both have the same menu and the one below is more quiet. The food selections are Asian with sushi, Japanese fried chicken, dumplings etc. Jen ordered the cauliflower with yuzu, kombu and cashews and the chili crisp chicken bao. I chose the grilled chicken thigh, the same bao and Brussels sprouts with puffed rice which though unusual gave it an extra crunchy bite. Jen's non alcoholic cocktail of rum and pineapple, The Baja Knot, was a tad sour so a helping of simple syrup worked wonders. The Carrick Hitch with n/a gin, lychee and Thai basil was delicious so much so that I would like to have it again. Both baos of the crisp chicken baos were hard and leathery. Considering that this is an Asian restaurant, it seems peculiar that this basic item was disappointing. Service was fine and unobtrusive. The restrooms are downstairs which one can go down three flights of stairs and then come back up via an elevator.

Run, don’t walk! I absolutely loved everything I had at this restaurant. My husband and I did the chef select menu so we got to try ten different dishes and boy, everything we had did not disappoint. There were so many unique flavors. My favorite was the black cod fried rice. It was so much food, we had left overs for a full meal the next day and the pricing was impeccable. Dessert was also fantastic. 10/10. Will be back.

Ordered off their tasting menu and OMG! Everything i picked was beyond amazing. And the serving sizes!?! I thought I was only going be getting a bite or two, not the case! Definitely worth the $$.
I had the Tuna tartare, cheesesteak bao, chicken thigh, kobe beef, shrimp taco, Wagyu Bavette, Orange King Salmon, black cod fried rice, unagi, eel and avocado, and Toro.
