First time at this amazing restaurant, and from the very beginning the staff went out of their way to make sure we were seated. Within just a few minutes, they found us a table even earlier than our booking time.
During our visit, the same person who helped us get seated also came to our table and guided us through the menu. We asked him to bring out the best dishes one after another—and he delivered with total confidence. From the drinks to every single plate, everything wasn’t just great… it was phenomenal.
Alongside him, the entire team was incredibly friendly, professional, and kind, which made the experience even better.
At the end of our meal, we noticed his photo on the restaurant wall—featured in The New York Times! Despite that, he had been so humble the whole time and never mentioned it. His knowledge and passion for the food really showed.
As for the menu—every dish we saw (and tried) is a must. Make sure you arrive hungry so you can fully enjoy it!
You can really feel the creativity, knowledge, and passion behind every detail.
We had an amazing experience at El Tapeo de Cervantes as part of a hen party, and honestly, everything was spot on.
We went for a sharing tapas platter, and it was outstanding — a great variety ranging from fish and shellfish to lamb and Spanish ham, with good vegetarian options as well. Its a great place for someone with gluten sensitivities as two of my friends have it. Everything was fresh, well-cooked, and clearly high quality, making it perfect for sharing in a group.
The wine was exceptional — genuinely wonderful — and paired perfectly with the food. On top of that, the atmosphere was unbeatable: relaxed, lively, and full of great energy. The vibes were exactly what you want for a celebratory lunch with friends. Highly recommended, especially for groups or special occasions.
Typically Spanish restaurant. Small and intimate, they have done well to pack in so many tables without feeling hemmed in! Service was impressive. Food exceptional and definitely worth a visit. We had octopus and Caesar salad and then swordfish followed by tiramisu and espresso. Definitely need to book a table so you won’t be disappointed.
Excellent friendly staff, very helpful with tapas options, food is excellent great options, too many for just 1 visit while staying in Malaga.
Been there over the last 3 years, always great food & wine, excellent service.
We had a really good meal at El Tapeo de Cervantes. Our server Kevin was very warm , friendly & helpful. all the dishes we ordered were very fantastic - the mushroom/asparagus/artichoke , the chorizo spanish omelette and the best was the sirloin! The dessert was interesting - fig flan!:) Thanks a lot for a wonderful evening!
