Fiola

My experience at Fiola Mare was nothing short of incredible, in both food and hospitality, and I am so very glad I chose it on my first trip to Washington DC. I started off with the yellowfin tuna crudo, which was refreshing, well presented, and had layers of both texture and flavor. Then per my servers recommendation, I had the branzino, which I do believe may be the best piece of fish I've had within recent memory. Crispy skin, yet remaining tender and delicious. It was wonderful in its simplicity, letting the flavor of the fish play center role. For a side, I had the olive oil crushed potatoes. I don't believe I've had potatoes made with olive oil before, but it certainly won't be the last time. Nicole, my server went above and beyond in their service, even sending me an additional side, the pesto ravioli which was an excellent compliment to the other flavors present. We also spoke of our shared love of the ocean. Again per Nicoles recommendation I went with the strawberry shortcake for dessert. Please look at the attached picture because that most straightforwardly shows how delightful it was. Fred, the manager, even came over to say Hello, and we discussed his time in New Hampshire (as I am from the New England Area). Overall, this meal was a perfect way to punctuate my 30th birthday trip to Washington DC, I was well cared for in both heart and stomach, which I think is all you can ask for from a restaurant experience. As a solo diner especially. I will be back on my next visit to DC.

Fiola Mare is a classy and exquisite restaurant that exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we experienced superior service and a thoughtfully curated menu. Every single bite of our meal was exceptional. 🎯 We enjoyed the Fiola Mare Seafood Tower as our main course, along with their delicious pane, and finished with three delectable desserts. Everything was beautifully prepared and absolutely delicious. A special thank you to our server, Ari, whose knowledge of the menu and impeccable service made our dining experience even more memorable. He was attentive, professional, and truly top-notch. Fiola Mare is now one of my husband's favorite places to dine in Washington, DC, and we can't wait to return!

Fiola Mare was an incredible dining experience from start to finish. I started with the oysters, which were fresh, flavorful, and the perfect way to begin the meal. The Caesar salad was a unique twist on a classic and absolutely delicious. The highlight of the evening was the salt-crusted branzino. It was expertly prepared, beautifully presented, and perfectly cooked with delicate flavor and texture. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted and showcased the quality of the ingredients. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the waterfront atmosphere made the experience even more memorable. If you’re looking for exceptional seafood, outstanding service, and a beautiful setting, Fiola Mare is well worth the visit.

we had a wonderful evening at Fiola. we ordered the hawaiian crudo and half dozen oysters for the starter. and ordered the whole branzino for our main course. the food was really good. the starters were wonderful but the branzino flesh was not as flaky as you might expect if it were fresh. it tasted good. it could use improvement where the skin could be crispy and the flesh more flaky. our waitress was awesome and very friendly. she had some great recommendations and was very attentive
