Wise Guys Pizza is a popular spot in Washington D.C. known for its thin-crust, oversized 'Big Apple Size' pizza slices, which are 65% larger than typical average-sized pizzas. They offer both slices and whole pies, emphasizing quick service and convenience. The restaurant is part of Thompson Restaurants and has multiple locations across D.C. (Chinatown, Dupont, Navy Yard) and Virginia (Herndon, Pentagon City, Virginia Beach).
Customers generally praise Wise Guys Pizza for its quick service, crispy thin crust, and the convenience of ordering by the slice. Popular menu items include the Supreme, Chicken Bacon Ranch, Buffalo Chicken, and Truffle Mushroom pizzas. While many appreciate the quality and efficiency, some long-time patrons have noted a perceived decline in quality since the original Chinatown location was acquired.

Wiseguy Pizza is a go-to spot whenever I’m craving a solid slice in DC. They have a great selection of pizzas, but the Supreme is the standout for me, definitely a must-have.
I really like that they sell pizza by the slice, which makes it perfect for a quick and satisfying lunch. Even when there’s a line, the ordering and checkout process is super streamlined, so it moves quickly and efficiently.
They also have a large outdoor seating area along with some indoor seating, which makes it easy to find a spot and enjoy your food. Overall, a consistently great experience with quality pizza and convenient service.
It's a nice small location. It's fairly small inside but there's also outdoor seating outside. We came at night, all the lights were lit up so it looks so pretty.
I got buffalo chicken wings - pretty good actually
Got 4 slices of pizza: we like them all!!
Korean chicken - too sweet for me but hubby like it
Chicken Paneer
Chicken Parmesan
Chicken Bacon Ranch - my favorite!
I was satisfied 😁
Best part is definitely the thin crispy crust.
Service: can't say much because it's a pizza place and we only order and take our food. Staff read welcoming and easy to talk to ( male cashier); female staff who took my order and hear up my food my me seems a little mean but it's probably because of the loud noises so it was hard to hear each other....some miscommunication/understanding both ways.
Go try some pizza!!
Quality Ingredients, Lazy Execution
So I love Wise Guys, but the last few times I’ve ordered the quality has gone down. I ordered a pepperoni pizza online with extra pepperoni, extra cheese and added onions and garlic. $39 pizza with the extras. As you can see, there is no extra pepperoni and the onion is scattered only on 4 slices. It looks like a 12 year old made it - very lazy. I also ordered at 3pm so there’s no excuse that they were extremely busy.
The “speciality” slices I bought were also lackluster. The Spicy Roni slices each had only one ball of cheese and half was just dough with no meat or cheese. The Korean chicken slices had literally no cabbage or Cole slaw (not like the pictures or slices I’ve ordered before). The Stromboli was delicious though.
If it was a 9.99 pizza from dominos, I would normally not complain but Wise Guys is not cheap ($90 order!). This also isn’t the first time I’ve been let down. I will say, I’ve never had any issues at the Mass Ave location.
I walked over from the Arlo Hotel on the same block. Service was quick and food was excellent. I got ranch chicken bacon pizza slice and naked wings. Wings were actually good -- not dry. Pizza crust was crispy, though I would have liked more cheese. Still, pizza was excellent. Great place for a bite. Loved the decor.
