My experience at gloriosa was great! Our server was very welcoming and knowledgable, me and my friends had a great time. We started with some oysters which were phenomenal. Also had artichoke for the first time! Overall the food was very decent, however, some dishes lacked a little flavour. The pudding was underwhelming. The atmosphere and ambience in the restaurant was very enjoyable. Special mention to the spicy margaritas we had, they were the highlight of my meal. Definitely make a reservation here.
The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are incredibly friendly. The food was amazing, though the seafood portions were a bit small. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and I’d love to return and try more dishes.

Hands down the best lunch we had in 2 weeks in Scotland. The best artichoke I’ve had in my entire life! Led Zeppelin playing on the stereo for bonus points. 15 pound for pasta and salad lunch special. Yum yum yum yum yum.

I went there because of the lovely reviews the place had, but the lovely name “Gloriosa” has nothing to do with the experience I had. I really do not recommend it at all.
As soon as you walk in, you can see there is very little effort put into the decoration, and the chairs and tables are not comfortable.
The menu is very small, and the dishes come without any sides, which is disappointing considering the price.
We paid £20 for four sardines the size of a finger, and the pork chops cost £36 but arrived lukewarm were salty and had more fat than meat, without even a salad or a piece of potato on the side.
The focaccia was also very salty, and the amount of olive oil served with it was barely a teaspoon.
The service was average, nothing special. For a £76 bill, I was expecting much better quality and more generous portions.

Had lunch here twice during rainy Glasgow season. Food are really light and fresh (feel so satisfying for my asian stomach), good vibe, and close to Kelvin hall, art musuem and University of Glasgow.
