The cookies at Great American Cookie Company are always delicious — soft, fresh, and decorated so creatively! You can tell they put effort into making each one look fun and festive. The only downside is the customer service. The staff often seem like they’d rather be anywhere else, and it takes away from the overall experience a bit. Still, the cookies themselves are consistently amazing, which keeps me coming back.
We have ordered many cookie cakes over the years. We have always used Great American Cookie Company. This past weekend I actually used online ordering for the first time and it was really easy to do. I even created my own design. I will also have to say it was one of the best and freshest cookie cakes we have had in a long time. Wonderful job in Maryville, TN 💕

I had a fantastic experience at Great American Cookie Company! I requested a beautiful sunflower cookie, they were incredibly helpful and prompt in bringing my vision to life exactly how I had requested it. The staff was so pleasant when I walked in, making sure to show me the cookie and ensuring that I loved it before I left the store. It's always nice to see such attention to detail and customer care. Highly recommend this place for delicious cookies and excellent service! Thank you!

Since moving locations and I’m assuming changing owners the customer service is non existent. Placed an order online because I called the store 4 times during business hours with no answer. I received email confirmation and my card was charged. Send a friend to pick it up and they say they don’t have my order so have to show proof which he did and they remake it while he waits offering no apologies etc. fast forward to 6pm the following day I receive a voicemail from the owner Cody saying to come get my cookie cake that wasn’t picked up. Like what? So I call to explain to the owner that I’ve already picked up my cookie cake that had to be remade etc the evening prior and he never apologizes or anything he was more worried about what size cookie did I pick up etc? After showing no concerns or apologies from the incident I tell him to keep the cookie cake that I will not be back and his response was “ok, thanks!” Then hung up on me with no apologies for the Trouble or being late for party etc. fast forward to about 45 minutes later and I get a phone call from a Maryville police officer saying I’ve been banned from the property and placed on the no trespassing list! Needless to say me and the officer found this comical and I assured him I wouldn’t be back! All I can say is Good luck Cody, keep running your business like this with zero customer service from you or your staff and you will continue losing customers!!! art of cakes blows your cookie co. *** let me add tonight*** that the owner now it’s been brought to my attention has called MPD claiming a large cookie cake had been stolen at 6:50pm last night after I paid and have the email stating that and he made a false police report because I have Never stepped foot at or on their new location in my name let’s just say I’m not letting it go and since Cody is so hard up for a cookie cake that he himself and his company messed up and didn’t take fault for tried to say falsely that I stole when I didn’t even pick up oh boy Cody have you opened a can! The officer only stayed I was banned for no trespassing he never said you had accused me of stealing a large cookie cake when I’ve never even been at or on your location hunny you have messed up! False accusations oh boy! Have you messed up! Something that could have been nothing but a “hey I’m never coming back” which I stated to you had turned into something so much more! I hope it’s worth it on your end to feel big and mighty accusing me when I’ve never even step foot on your premises EVER and I promise you Never Will! The officer failed to ad use me that you were claiming I stole a cooking from you that I have the email and credit card receipt showing I paid! Because like every cookie cake I’ve ordered I. The past 20 years has to be prepaid for not sure when you became an owner but you need to take a class on customer service. I have done nothing wrong, your company dropped the ball and was called out and no I’m being accused of stealing and trespassing! Lord have mercy have you got a thing or two to learn! You’re co. Was at fault screwed up an Order and you can’t even take responsibility without calling cops and filing a false report! Hang it up buddy bc your business isn’t going to get far speaking from someone who’s husband has ran a business since the 90’s! We all fail, coke short, and make mistakes! But you NEVER falsely accuse! Especially someone that’s never step foot on your beloved property and I have the gps app to prove that!
In response to the owners review— I guess I would say that too since you took no responsibility no trespassing since I’ve never been to your establishment anyways I’m upset that you call MPD and say a large cookie cake was stolen over 24 hours later after that your staff remade it and promised they were making it right meaning just that! No one stole from you so file another false report and band customers who have never been there! Like what???

Better than vanilla cake. I prefer a cookie over B-day cakes and they keep skme good ice cream. They make the best. End of story. Just don't eat too much, it will make your tummy turn. The same goes for just about anything though.
