Jule’s easily ranks in my top 3 restaurants I’ve tried around Atlanta. Do yourself a favor and order the Japanese bun and the Rockefeller oysters — non-negotiable. The bun is unbelievably soft, and the butter served with it is insanely flavorful. Now here’s the move: put the char-grilled oyster on top of the bun with that butter and take a bite. It’s honestly better than oysters I’ve had in New York, and far better than anything I’ve tried in New Orleans. We loved it so much that we ordered the same items three times. The service was exceptional — genuinely warm, attentive, and polished. At one point, it honestly felt like dining at a Michelin three-star restaurant. The only downside is that they’re open Thursday through Sunday only. I stayed from Monday to Thursday and only managed to get one visit in, which was extremely disappointing. Still, even though it’s about an hour and a half from Atlanta, I would absolutely come back again just for this meal. Highly, highly recommended.

Had an outstanding dining experience at Jules at Barnsley Resort. The food was exceptional, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. The atmosphere was elegant yet comfortable, making for a perfect evening. What truly made our visit memorable was our server, Reeves. He was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and provided top-notch service from start to finish. He made excellent recommendations, anticipated our needs, and helped create a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience. If you're visiting Barnsley Resort, I highly recommend dining at Jules and asking for Reeves. We will definitely be back!

We had such a wonderful experience at Jules. Reeves, our waiter, was exceptional, so knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely kind throughout the evening. The GM was also incredibly gracious and made us feel so well taken care of. They went above and beyond with thoughtful drink pairings, wonderful recommendations, and such warm hospitality. Even though we were there late, they never made us feel rushed and were incredibly accommodating. The food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. Truly a memorable evening and one of the best hospitality experiences we’ve had. Highly recommend.

Jules is a treasure in both a stay at Barnsley or for fine dining in northwest Georgia. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and elevated, with soft banquettes, lighting in antique sconces, and charming vintage serving dishes and silver. Begin with an excellent cocktail or carefully selected glass of wine in the entrance bar, presided over by the wonderfully hospitable, generous, and knowledgeable Kris. Thoughtful and delicious details, like warmed peanuts mixed with Sichuan peppercorns, enhance the flavors of the drinks and speak to a level of attention in something that could just be an ordinary bar snack. This attention to detail is continued in the restaurant itself. Service is professional yet cosseting, and amuse bouches include housemade pimento cheese with buttered saltines, a pickled vegetable, and perfectly cracked walnuts. The menu by Chef Doty is wonderfully inventive. Grilled oysters appear on a bed of rock salt in an elegantly tarnished silver dish in the most heightened — and scrumptious! — version of oysters Rockefeller. A simple green salad has the most perfectly selected combination of lettuces, including butter, frisée, and Castelfranco radicchio, slick with just the right amount of olive oil and thin bursts of watermelon radishes. A Vidalia onion soup is surprisingly creamy and rich, with unusual, but delicious, additions of cumin, pickled banana peppers, and crispy onions, giving a delightful contrast in texture and flavor. Duck breast is perfectly cooked, and again enhanced by contrasting flavors of pickles (this time rhubarb) and morel mushrooms. All of this is supported by a thoughtful wine list, excellently presented by Daisy, a server and sommelier of passion and care.
