Gorgeous restaurant and the food was incredible. As a Jamaican and Nigerian American, I absolutely loved the Afro -Caribbean food offered at this establishment. The head chef and his team are doing amazing work.
We started with the wagyu patties and the plantain expressions. For the mains, we had the curry duck breast, pastélon, coconut rice & peas and the calloloo & provisions. The duck was seriously the best I’ve ever had! The curry sauce was soo darn good! The pastélon was creamy but a little salty. For dessert, we got the dukunoo ice cream sandwich and tres leches. Because the ice cream sandwich was packed with flavor with the ginger and spices, I couldn’t taste the tres leches cake which had an extremely subtle taste.
Absolutely lovely experience dining at Lucia for the first time for my belated birthday. Every cocktail and every dish that we collectively drank and ate was more astonishingly delicious than the other. We are already impatiently waiting to visit again and make the long drive to WeHo for this place because it’s worth the drive. Special thank you to Dive for her wonderful service and attentiveness, as well as the entire staff for their lovely hospitality.

If you want to feel a vibe that makes you embrace your inner cool, this trendy, beautiful restaurant is a fabulous choice. The food draws from the cultural flavors of the Black American Diaspora, as well as African and Caribbean dishes. They combine to create an Afro-Caribbean mash-up called Lucia. The Pickled Okra Martini was delightful, the Meat and Veggie Pattys were light and delicious. For mains, the Haitian Waygu Tasso was perfectly seasoned, and their Catfish and Grits perfectly fried with a lick your plate gravy to finish the presentation. Overall, a good meal. But it was the people watching and rock in your seat music that made the evening. Lucia is the perfect place for a fun packed date night or selfie filled celebration. An enjoyable time and must visit if you’re in LA.

Marcos was the goat and really kind and gave great pointers on what we should try I really appreciated him and how he checked on the table constantly. The food was nice and hot. We were treated with the most courtesy on a very busy Mother’s Day! Way to go Lucia’s

This place is DEF a go to. If you’ve seen any of my reviews before you know I’ll keep it REAL! So off first impressions the outside is unassuming because it’s a busy street and you can’t tell much from the outside. But the host desk is out there ready to greet you. Very friendly and welcoming. But when you open the doors you’re transported to another place! The pics I took didn’t do it justice, but will give a glimpse of the magic. It gives chic, class, and vibes. It’s not a big restaurant but the way it’s set up makes it look way bigger than you’d expect. Tall ceilings, big arches that look regal and lighting that pulls it all together. Did I mention it’s black owned?! This is an African Caribbean inspired restaurant and it shows in all aspects. From the crafted cocktails with sorrel, or soursop! (It’s so hard to find that in LA) to the food like pastelón, creole fritters, rice and peas and more. Oh and they change their menus regularly so you won’t get tired of the menu if that was even possible. Oh and if that wasn’t enough, they have a DJ! Playing big ting vibes all night. Now as much as this is a restaurant for anyone I wouldn’t say it’s for the little ones. It’s loud music, people having a good time and for the vibes. Not crying babies but if you wanna impress a first date, or do a nice celebratory dinner this is the place. I’ll put some pics and vids to sell you but once you go it’ll sell itself. Service was on point, comfortable ambiance and music that put me in the best mood. We need more places like this! 👏🏾👏🏾
