Excellent food 10/10. Glad to have another high quality restaurant in the area. Food was very interesting and had some original ideas and flavours. Service was attentive, clearly developing - they could speak more clearly, some overlap is taking orders but otherwise professional. Atmosphere is Ok, light should be dimmed slightly, maybe music slightly louder to compensate for hearing other people (maybe a complementary drink to mitigate that aspect!)
Went to try out the new restaurant.
Stuart Deeley ,who was MasterChef UK The Professionals Champion 2019 has been appointed executive chef of The Warwick restaurant.
Located in the hotel.
A quintessentially English country hotel & spa in the heart of Warwickshire.
The food is a very British affair.
Very seasonal and using the finest local produce.
The evening was perfect from start to finish.
With great service and food all wrapped up in the very best of English hospitality.
We shall have to return and stay with our doggies next time and let them check out the very impressive surroundings as well.
The food was good but not outstanding and, having seen Stu Deeley on Masterchef, we were expecting more exciting flavours but it was very traditional food but maybe that is the direction the hotel favours. The atmosphere was good although the tables were a bit close together and we could hear the conversation of our neighbours in detail! What totally let it all down was the service. The maitre d was completely unwelcoming almost to the point of rudeness when we arrived and grumpily took our coats. He was scruffily dressed in muddy trousers and dirty down at heel shoes with greasy hair. Not a good impression. We were taken to our table and given a menu with both the tasting menu and a la carte on it but not asked which we we were having. We were brought water and a wine list but no-one came to take our drinks order and we were almost immediately given a couple of amuse bouche so we presumed we were having the taster menu. However we were then asked which menu we were having and the waiter then said he would 'set that in motion' and then took our drinks order. After about 20 minutes the first course arrived with our drinks and then proceeded at a snail's pace - each course which took about 5 minutes to eat took half an hour to arrive and the whole 6 courses took over 3 hours - we don't like being rushed but this was painfully slow. I wanted another glass of wine but it took us nearly half an hour to attract one of the many waiters' attention to order one and then when it arrived it was the wrong wine. When we finally finished and left we did not pay the service charge and the maitre d got our coats and just shoved them into our hands without even saying goodbye - just awful service from start to finish and despite the good food and great chef we will not be returning sadly.

My husband took me for my birthday, the food was amazing! Definitely a Michelin Star on the way. A great weekend
Tried The Warwick restaurant at Mallory Court yesterday for Sunday Lunch as we had seen on the website the appointment of a new chef last June. Unfortunately it failed to meet our expectations in almost every respect. The upsides were there seemed to be plenty of front of house staff and one of our starters, the Burrata, was excellent. However, most of the staff appeared to be unaware of their duties and just standing around.
We ordered our food whilst having pre-lunch drinks in the lounge. When we were invited to move to our table, I had to point out there was water on the seat of my chair which I had nearly sat on. We then had a surprisingly long wait for our bread and starter.
The Crab starter was disappointing; the pastry for the tart was far too thick and overshadowed the other ingredients. In my opinion the flavours also appeared to be "fighting" rather than complementing each other. The Burrata, though, was excellent and of the standard we expected.
We both had the Beef, which we felt was no better than we had had recently at our local pub. The meat was served in an identical condition despite having asked for one Rare and one Medium-rare. When ordering we were assured "the chef will be able to accommodate this". The vegetables were cooked well but the roast potatoes were tough, dry and difficult to cut.
Owing to the time it had taken for 2 courses (2 hours) we had insufficient time for dessert. Only once during the meal were we asked how our food was, when we had finished our starters, and we fed back accordingly at that point.
Overall, a disappointing Sunday Lunch.
