Onyx Tonics Specialty Coffee was our first coffee stop during our vacation in Burlington, and as two serious coffee lovers, we were excited to check it out. ☕️❤️
And by coffee lovers, I mean we really love coffee not the “sitting at Starbucks 24/7” kind. No hate, though!
We tried a couple of new drinks during our visit, and my significant other even got the chance to chat with the owner. It quickly turned into one of those unexpected geek-out conversations that makes a coffee stop even more memorable. The owner is truly a gem and made us feel so welcome.
Great coffee, great conversation, and a genuinely wonderful experience. We’d absolutely recommend stopping by, and we’ll definitely be back.
Much love from DC! ❤️
Wanting to find a superb coffee shop is exactly why I read Google reviews. If you appreciate actual espresso or excellent pour over coffee this shop will not disappoint. As I understand, they rotate through different selections of beans. Their menu provides you with information on each option of bean such as location, process and notes. I went with the La Pradera beans in a simple whole milk latte and it was excellent. I honestly have nothing more to say besides if you want to have a great cup of coffee, it’s here for you.

I recently visited this café and I was honestly impressed. They offer sugar-free flavored coffees, which is something I’ve been looking for for a long time. It’s so nice to finally find a place where you can enjoy delicious coffee flavors without all the extra sugar.
The coffee tasted amazing, the flavors were rich and well balanced, and you would never guess it was sugar-free. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the whole experience was really enjoyable.
If you’re someone who loves flavored coffee but wants to avoid sugar, this place is definitely worth visiting. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

First and foremost, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. My wife and I plus 4 others all first timers. A staff member broke down all the different types of coffee, options, and suggestions for us, as we took time to decide what we wanted to try. There menu rotates constantly and has only the freshest coffees and brews. I tried the hand brewed coffee black, and it was hands down the best black coffee my wife and I have tried. My wife got a specialty latte and enjoyed it as we walked up and down church st with our coffees keeping our hands warm as we explored all the shops. Great atmosphere, great staff, and a wonderful experience.

interesting cafe in terms of they rotate the beans from different roasters that they use on a weekly basis so if you’re the type of person that likes to try different beans/coffee this is place for you. definitely one of the better specialty coffee places in the area. nice place to study or journal for a bit and just a couple of steps away from all the other shops in downtown on church street.
