I got a recommendation from the owner of our accommodation to visit this place. It is one of the most famous pastry shops on the Amalfi Coast. The shop was founded in 1830 by Andrea Pansa. With authentic recipes and a unique location, Pasticceria Pansa is truly a culinary landmark in Amalfi.
The interior is very elegant and stylish. It may look crowded, but feel free to ask for a table inside. Everything we tried was delicious. Must try desserts were: Delizia al limone (sponge cake with lemon cream), the flaky Sfogliatella, and their famous chocolate-dipped orange scorzette. They were all absolutely worth trying!
After exploring Amalfi, we stopped by Pasticceria Pansa for a tea and pastry break, and it was a wonderful experience. The pastries were fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour, pairing perfectly with a relaxing cup of tea. The café has a charming atmosphere and is a great place to sit back and watch the world go by in the heart of Amalfi. A lovely stop for anyone with a sweet tooth.

One of the best patisseries I’ve visited. The flavors are perfectly balanced — not overly sweet, yet full of character.
For those wondering why there’s no iced latte or similar drinks on the menu — you’re in Italy. Embrace the local coffee culture, eat and drink like the locals do. It’s part of the experience.

Pasticceria Pansa is a historic pastry shop located in the heart of Amalfi, right in the central area. The variety of pastries is enormous and the presentation is truly beautiful.
We tried the pastiera napoletana and the delizia al limone, and both were extremely delicious. The delizia al limone was actually the main pastry I was obsessed with trying in Italy, and it did not disappoint.

Wow… bellissimo. From the very first sip of coffee to the last bite of cake, this place absolutely delivers. There’s a fantastic selection of cakes, a great variety of coffees, and plenty of snacks, drinks, and breakfast options to choose from, something for everyone.
If you’re planning to visit, the best spot is to grab a table just outside the square. Fair warning though, it’s always busy, and tables are hard to come by. The moment you get up, someone else is ready to jump in! That just shows how popular it is.
Despite the rush, the service is spot on. Drinks come out quickly, and when they do, they’re genuinely fantastic, well worth the wait. The place is run by two brothers who are always there, hands-on, making sure everything runs smoothly, and it really shows in the quality and atmosphere.
A proper five-star experience.
