My husband and I saw an episode of Check Please! and this was one of the restaurants that was featured on that show. It looked so good that my husband and I made reservations immediately and decided to take my brother there for an early dinner. We loved the atmosphere and the service was outstanding. I ordered one of the white pizzas and it had prosciutto mozzarella, garlic, and spicy sausage and it was delicious! My husband had the pork chop, which was huge! They pounded it down until the pork chop was very thin and then they fried it and topped it with a Sunday sauce and mozzarella cheese! My husband loved it! My brother had some sort of pasta with a vodka sauce and that was outstanding! We started the meal with an appetizer of meatballs. They were so tender and flavorful and huge! It was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend this place!
My friend and I went for Pizzeria Virtù’s current summer special. It was one of the best summer dining deals in Scottsdale: a medium Margherita pizza and two glasses of wine for only $30.
The wood-fired pizza was outstanding. Most pizzerias’ Margherita pizzas don’t have enough cheese, but this one was generously covered with creamy buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, and delicious Italian tomato sauce and had the perfect crust. (See my photo.)
Before the pizza arrived, we shared the Insalata with arugula, shaved Parmesan, and sweet cherry tomatoes that practically melted in your mouth.
The wine paired beautifully with the meal. My friend and I both chose the red wine, which was smooth and balanced with lovely cherry notes. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered a second glass.
What many people don’t realize is that Pizzeria Virtù offers much more than pizza. The menu is intentionally curated, featuring a selection of house-made pastas, small plates, and a few carefully crafted entrées. Chef Gio Osso is known for changing menus and showcasing seasonal ingredients, so there is always something new to discover. The restaurant is part of Chef Gio’s acclaimed Virtù family of restaurants and reflects the same commitment to quality and authenticity.
The atmosphere is special both inside and out. The dining room feels warm, inviting, and intimate, while the outdoor patio is one of Old Town Scottsdale’s most charming places to enjoy an evening meal. We also appreciated the convenient private parking lot beside the restaurant.
Save room for dessert. The tiramisu is excellent. The cannoli and chocolate gelato are two other great choices.
Whether you’re looking for a casual pizza night, a date night, or dinner with friends, Pizzeria Virtù delivers an experience that feels far more special than a typical pizzeria. I’ll grab another friend and go back.
We enjoyed authentic thin crusted wood fired pizzas. They also offer delicious pasta dishes. Outdoor dining with misting fans and candlelit dining made it very pleasant. Thank you!
A double invite brought me to Pizzeria Virtù for an unforgettable media night experience, where the art of true Napoletana pizza takes center stage.
Chef Gio has crafted a menu that’s both simple and elevated- every bite rooted in tradition, bursting with fresh ingredients, and echoing the flavors of Italy right here in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale.
It’s giving: wood-fired perfection, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and flavors your taste buds won’t soon forget. 🤌🏽
We loved their bruschetta — absolutely the best we’ve had! The pizza was solid, though we personally preferred the seasoning and crispness at Nook Kitchen in Arcadia a bit more — chalk it up to personal preference!
Our server, Courtney, was wonderful. She was so sweet and even surprised us with a complimentary dessert for my girlfriend’s birthday — such a thoughtful touch!
My girlfriend really enjoyed the tiramisu, though I wasn’t a big fan of the gritty texture. Again, just comes down to taste.
The only downside was the seating situation. We asked to switch to a different outdoor table, but were told it was reserved — which surprised us since we thought reservations were only for indoor vs. outdoor general seating, not specific tables. We didn’t make a fuss, but we stayed for about 1.5 hours and the table remained empty the whole time, along with plenty of other open outdoor tables. It just felt a bit odd and unnecessary.
Overall, still a great experience with delicious food and excellent service — especially thanks to Courtney!
