⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What a fantastic dining experience at Pompette in Skygate, Brisbane. I chose the “Little Tastes” menu, (of my creation) which was an excellent way to experience a range of classic French dishes. The foie gras was exceptional, the oysters were incredibly fresh, and the crumpet was beautifully balanced and elegant. If you’ve never tried escargots before, this is the place to do it. You may need to psychologically disconnect from the fact that you’re eating snails, but once you do, you’ll discover a delicious dish swimming in butter, garlic, bacon and accompanied by bread to soak up every last drop. Definitely worth trying. The steak tartare served with house-made potato chips was outstanding, and the beef bourguignon was everything you’d hope for from this timeless French classic—rich, comforting and full of flavour. The service was warm and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere struck a perfect balance between sophistication and relaxation. A fun fact I learned during the evening is that “Pompette” translates to “tipsy” in English, which feels quite fitting for a French restaurant celebrating great food, wine and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic French cuisine in Brisbane. I’ll certainly be back. 🇫🇷🍷🥂

We had a spectacular lunch at Pompette! The food, ambience and service were incredible. Our waiter, David, went above and beyond making our anniversary truly special. We enjoyed the Ooh La La banquet which for $57 is amazing value with high quality ingredients, definitely recommend. The wine list is ample with a good range of prices and the cocktails are also delicious. We will be back!

What an amazing experience we had! From the moment we arrived, everything was exceptional. The kids absolutely loved the food, which made the evening even more enjoyable for our family. A special thank you to Ammar, who looked after us so well and provided outstanding recommendations throughout the night. His suggestions were spot on. The cheese soufflé was absolutely incredible, and the kids couldn’t get enough of the Beef Wellington. The cocktails were equally impressive. The Chanel Five is an absolute must try! The wine pairing with our main dishes was perfect and really elevated the entire dining experience. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere all came together to create a memorable evening. We will definitely be returning and can’t wait for our next visit.

Absolutely brilliant. A table of 6 that had one of the banquets (with some changes due to allergies that they accomodated with ease). Loic our waiter was incredible from the get-go. Great welcome, nice banter, offered advice on the food etc... just exceptional at his job. The food was sensational, great quality, good quantity (we did not leave hungry) and full of flavour and true to its french origin (the photos do not do it justice nor does it cover every course). Music to start the night and then the piano while eating to tick boxes we did not know that we needed ticked. Cannot recommend Pompette enough and will be coming back again very soon.
