Additional Details
The name 'Punjab Meet House' stems from the Punjabi tradition of 'milna,' which signifies a warm meeting between friends and strangers. The restaurant is located at 25 Christopher Columbus Dr, Jersey City.
The restaurant had its opening weekend with walk-ins only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and was closed on Mondays. Reservations were expected to begin the following week.
This review comes after two visits. We waited in line opening night and were lucky to get seated. And the second visit was based off a reservation I had made that night to take my parents out on their anniversary. The cocktails were definitely creative and a great range of flavors. We enjoyed several dishes from mutton, the lamb ribs, pani puri, and a mutton offal dish that actually shocked me. Offal is quite difficult to cook and I believe they nailed it. Overall, the food was good and I’m sure there will be cultural differences that bring people to say that it was not true to the flavors but Chef Vikas did a great job here. There are some slight kinks to work out with some dishes and I had already given my feedback to the staff directly. The biggest thing lacking was the service. While there were great moments of attentiveness, the overall service wasn’t consistent. I’ll definitely be back to see any future improvements.
Excellent food and a great dining experience! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. A special thanks to our server, Joyal, who was friendly, attentive, and provided outstanding service. We’ll definitely be back!

This place has officially set the bar for Indian food in Jersey City. Every dish was packed with flavor, beautifully balanced, and clearly made with a lot of care.
The four of us ordered a feast so we could try as much as possible, and not a single dish disappointed. The standouts were the choley tikki chaat, the smoky Amritsari bhatti murgh, the Lahori jhinga double roti, which was unlike anything we’ve had before, and the comforting Sarson da Saag platter that was served with makki roti and homemade makhan, gud, and the most delicious chaas we’ve had.
The butter chicken deserves a special mention of its own as it was the closest we’ve had to the iconic Delhi-style butter chicken.
And save room for dessert. The bread tiramisu “shahi tukda” was such a creative twist and the perfect way to end the meal.
We are already looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the menu!

Absolutely loved our meal here! The food was fantastic and the flavors felt genuinely authentic—very much that Punjab/Delhi style of cooking we were hoping for.
We started with the tandoori chicken, which was excellent. Nicely spiced, incredibly tender, juicy, and full of flavor. For our mains, we had the Kadhai Paneer and chole, and both were amazing. Rich, well-spiced, and packed with flavor without tasting overly heavy or one-dimensional.
Dessert was especially interesting— We got tiramisu, with bread soaked in ghee and layered with mascarpone and coffee. Definitely rich and heavy, but absolutely delicious and we loved it!
Overall, a great experience and some of the most authentic Punjabi/Delhi flavors we’ve had in the area. Definitely coming back!

We went to PMH for dinner, and totally loved it.
For starters we had Tikki chhole, chaap, and tandoori murgh - they did not hide the true punjabi flavors and transported us back to Delhi Punjab.
In main course, we had GT road kadhai paneer (superb), Sabketa, Biryani - everything was great.
We shared one dessert - Gulab jamun doughnut - which was interesting since it maintaining the gulab jamun texture and taste and had mango flavours outside - made for a perfect bite.
Vibe wise - I read it as a big vedha/varandha with tree in the middle - it was comforting.
Service was fast and well done.
