Additional Details
Quanjude is frequently listed among the top places to eat Peking Duck in Beijing, highlighting its long-standing reputation and cultural significance in the city's culinary scene.
The restaurant can be very busy, and visitors should be prepared for potential waiting times, suggesting peak hours or popular dining times can be crowded.
Their Peking duck is beautiful and delicious.
"The flower" part duck meats are crispy, other part are more tender and meaty.
Sour & sweet fish also taste very good.
Their queueing system is good, book your table size, get your booking number and seat in waiting area.
I recently visited 全聚德烤鸭店(前门店), and it was a memorable experience overall. As one of the most famous spots for Peking duck, the restaurant definitely lives up to its reputation in terms of tradition and presentation. The duck was expertly roasted, with crispy skin and tender meat, and the staff even demonstrated the proper way to wrap and enjoy it, which added a nice cultural touch.
The restaurant itself has a classic, elegant atmosphere that reflects its long history, making it feel like more than just a meal—it’s an experience. That said, it can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours, and the prices are on the higher side compared to other local options.
Service was generally attentive, though at times it felt a bit rushed due to the number of diners. Still, if you’re looking to try authentic Peking duck at a well-known establishment, this is definitely a place worth visiting at least once.

Came here for the experience more than anything because the food was not that fantastic. The food probably used to be good in days gone by, but now it's a bit pricey even though the quality was not too bad. Service was reasonable considering the crowd. If it's just the signature Peking roast duck dish, there are definitely better options elsewhere.

We came for dinner at this place after receiving a recomandation from a local. We came on a Friday evening without reservation and within 40min they placed us at our table. The food was delicious, ordered the crispy duck full size which came along with few vegetales, two types of wrapes, souce, foie gras and a soup. They should us how to eat it - wrap the duck into the wrap along with the veggies and the souce. Everything was delicious. Totally recommend! 👌

So call Michelin restaurants, but disappointed. I went few Peking duck restaurants in Beijing. This one I personally think totally not worth it. Maybe other restaurants with same price or slight cheaper, serve better quality and very good service.
As we already receive high standard service from other restaurant, with similar pricing- here the service not good yet the duck a bit dry n also all the edges of the wrap skin(seem like expose for long start drying from the edges, doesn't seem fresh). The presentation n choice of condiments also less than other restaurant. The other dishes charges higher but smaller position than other restaurants yet not tasty.
We order half duck, they didn't ask how we wanted the duck bone rack to be serve, they just serve the soup but the soup is tasteless. Other restaurants they will ask how we wanted the duck bone rack to be serve -deep fried crispy salted or soup.
Other restaurants slice cut the duck in front of u, serve right away so the meat still moist. But QJD no, they send out sliced duck from the kitchen, think that's why the meat is not as juicy as other restaurants.
