It was our first time visiting Woojoo Bunsik as a family, and we were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the Korean street food experience.
We loved the Korean Street-Market Tteokbokki with Fish Cakes and Egg—it was comforting, flavourful, and felt like an authentic taste of Korean street food. The Korean Bulgogi Udon was also delicious and packed with flavour. Our toddler especially enjoyed the Original Chicken Katsu, which was perfect because it came with a variety of sides, almost like a bento-style meal that made it easy for little ones to try different dishes.
We also tried the fries, deep-fried shrimp, ham cheese toast, and deep-fried chicken, and everything was freshly made and satisfying. One of the most memorable dishes was the chicken feet—extremely spicy, but absolutely delicious and packed with bold flavour. If you enjoy spicy food, it's definitely worth trying!
On top of the amazing food, the service was some of the friendliest we've experienced. The staff were warm, welcoming, and made our family feel right at home. Our first family visit exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to come back to explore more of the menu.
Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience Korean street food in Toronto!
After visiting the Arirang BTS pop-up last Sunday, my husband and I walked over to this Korean restaurant, and it was worth every single step! The place is cozy, but the vibes are immaculate. They were playing non-stop BTS songs, which made waiting for our food a total blast since we could sing along. 🎵 The music made the delicious food taste even better! Everything we ordered was incredible, the staff were super nice and respectful, and the pricing is very fair for a downtown spot. We will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu! 💜

Tried Woojoo Bunsik in downtown Toronto and honestly it’s such a cozy spot for Korean street food. The tteokbokki was flavorful with the right balance of spicy and sweet, and the kimbap tasted fresh and well made. Portions were pretty good for the price, and the atmosphere felt very casual and comforting, perfect for a quick meal with friends.
The staff were friendly and service was fast even during busy hours. Definitely a nice place to visit if you’re craving Korean bunsik-style comfort food downtown.

K-street food that really hits the mark.
First time there, but I’d recommend:
- basil cream tteokbokki (I got it mild/ a bit spicy but it wasn’t spicy at all?)
- soy garlic fried chicken
- bulgogi rice bowl
All were fantastic!!! The tteokbokki was nice and chewy, with a nice cheesy pesto flavour. It had pork sausage in it that was really delicious and had a bit of a smoky flavour to me. The fried chicken was flavourful, juicy and served nice and hot!! And the bulgogi bowl also had a lot of flavour!

I was really excited to try this place, and wanted to love it. I ordered the cheese butter garlic chicken which was cooked nicely with a good crunch, but the sauce was so sickeningly sweet. I love sweet food, but I couldn't even finish half of the chicken because I was about to throw up (I think it also made my stomach upset). I ended up sharing my boyfriend's tteokbokki which tasted fine. Really sad this place did not live up to the hype.
