We have loved taco party ever since they opened and eat here several times throughout the year. We like to come here on special occasions or with friends and family from out of town because it is a fun atmosphere and a delicious menu. The prices are higher than most restaurants around GJ but the food you get is delicious and unique and their menu always offers in season ingredients. One thing I really wish they would change back to the “old days” before COVID was their full bar and fresh cocktails. After 2020 they have batched their cocktails and pour them out of a tapped keg. We went to have a nice date night recently and I had asked when their drinks were “batched” and it was a Friday and they had been made that previous Monday… To pay $14 for a cocktail that isn’t freshly made is just hard for me to justify when you have Moody’s and Melrose right around the corner who cost the same but are freshly made. Ever since they started batching their cocktails they have a weird taste to them and clearly just aren’t fresh. I really hope they will consider bringing back a fully functioning bar with fresh drinks. We always love their guacamole and shishito peppers for appetizers… And the elote when sweet corn is in season! The tacos are unique and flavorful and we always enjoy the new options they bring in yearly. I love taco party, but definitely won’t be splurging on their cocktails anymore if they continue to batch them.

As a chef I am always delighted when the food surprises me. The flavors, the technique, the skateboards! Everything was soooo good. Best guacamole I have ever had! I highly recommend the pork pastor. So much depth.

This place has a lot of hype, not sure why because the food left something to be desired. There were a lot of artisan aprons in the kitchen for food that was mid grade at best. Unique taco flavors - I’ll give them that but nothing was uniform, some were soggy, some were overcooked, and none of them served had the same amount of ingredients. One taco had 3 pieces of steak, and another had 8? The fish was cooked great, the chicken was chewy? I was hoping for more of a culinary experience but it’s cool, I just probably wouldn’t recommend for a quick stop or great food.
