I was passing by this place and noticed its pleasant exterior, friendly waiter, and attractive menu with pictures of the dishes. I ordered a "La Carnivore" pizza, an Americano, pasta carbonara, and a baked potato. The pizza was thin with gooey cheese, the pasta carbonara al dente, and the coffee was good Arabica. It seemed like they didn't even use tap water. The baked potato really surprised me, though—very tender with some kind of sauce. I give it a five and would happily return.
Tony's is my new favorite pizza place in Israel. I was heartbroken when Joya Herzliya closed along with their oven, but now I have somewhere to go when I want real Italian pizza. That said, Tony's isn't just pizza. The concept is anything that can be cooked in a wood-fired oven, and it's all amazingly delicious 😋. I can't remember the last time I scraped every last crumb off a plate the way I did with their baked eggplant with tahini last night. ✨ We hadn't planned on dessert, but when we heard they had knafeh, we couldn't pass it up, and we were not disappointed. It was perfectly balanced: caramelized on top, soft inside, not drowned in syrup like everywhere else, with a gentle rose flavor and pistachio crumbs.
The cauliflower dish was seriously phenomenal and the vegan pizza was great too. Highly recommend those dishes and the overall vibe! Love to find vegan-friendly pizza options.
