I was introduced to this place as the “table of knowledge” - there’s a long table at the front that seems to attract the most intelligent and kind of the stock in the ridge.
Coffee was good, food was as you need for a little cafe. I got eggs your way poached.
Um wanna be fair to this place . The young girls working there were so lovely . The kids brekki menu is very good. And the food was very nice. Nicely decorated and there is a selection of toys and books for kids and booth seating which makes it great for families. I can't give 5 starts because when I asked for a side plate (spare plate) I was told they charge for it ?! My two kids wanted to share the food and we needed a side place for that but to be charged for a spare plate is something I have never heard of and very cheeky especially as we were spending a lot of money in there ! I asked the girls behind the counter why they charge and they said "I'm not sure our managers instructions" .
Really confused by this rule and got my back up a bit. The food was very nice and the coffee was made well though.

A little expensive, it is lightning ridge so tourist prices.
Chicken souvlaki was tasty but rather small and not much chicken. Could have come with salad or some chips for $18.

Visited this lovely place for the third time already. Liked the decoration and theme of this place but food is very average even though it looks very nice. Both dishes lacked seasoning and burger had no sauce whatsoever. Food was plated on very small dishes and it was hard to eat without spilling any food on your clothes or table. Tacos vere the best part - tasty but also very messy to eat. Overall a decent place with a lovely theme but a bit pricy underseasoned food.
I can't really comment on the food, except to say that the breakfasts I saw coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. I can, however, comment on the excellent iced cafe lattes and the excellent service. Friendly and welcoming, a lovely little spot.
