Wonderful experience. The Martini program is innovative and delicious. All the menu items are phenomenal. Don't miss the pizza rolls, carrot side dish and the lobster rolls. The star of the night was the Samoa cookie sundae!
My dad's birthday dinner called for a dinner extravaganza and corner store delivered.
For the first time in my 21 years, I tried a sour cream and onion martini which was a solid 8/10 (mostly because the crisps on the side satiated my pre-appetiser peckish hunger). I had never seen so many fun martini's, so if martinis are your thing, you need to go here.
The special double fried chicken was not my favourite (not sure why they were so sought after [our waiter told us: hurry! Everyone wants them!]). However, everything else was delicious!
The STEAK was out of this world (from Texas)! In fact, it was so good that the two vegetarians at the table were tempted to have a bite (and gave in, it was truly life changing). Another favourite was the spinach and artichoke dip and the cream cheese onion croutons in the ceaser salad (they were a surprise and a delight!).
Plus, there are vegetarian options (such as the fake chicken parm), which means everyone is happy!
Not to mention the desserts, the coconut ice cream sundae had me picking up the jar and scraping the sides for any scraps left over.
Overall, a wonderful experience, and a perfect one to celebrate my dad
Had a lovely dinner here for two of us. Unfortunately, when you come in, if you show up a bit early, there is no place to sit at the bar and have some drinks. They do bar seating which takes up some of the chairs. Once seated, the waitress came over immediately and was very attentive and well-versed on the menu and took time making sure that we would be ordering food that we would like and quantity to be sufficient. The quality of the food was pretty good. The Hamachi had adequate flavor. I highly recommend the Caesar salad as they’re a twist on the Caesar has a great element full of flavor. Do not miss the fries. For entrées we had the French dip where the meat was very tender and the Au juis was a bit on the salty sign, but did not disappoint. Their fish was a bit bland but cooked correctly. Drink selection offered some nice choices with specialty crafted cocktails. It took a long time to get these reservations and honestly, I was expecting to be more impressed given the hype.
Had a fantastic experience at the corner store when I somehow got a reservation for seating at the bar (can’t believe I still got that reservation in the first place). This place is so hyped and is able to live up to it. Love the vibes and the elegant yet classic feel of the space and food. The sour cream and onion martini was quite unique and the lobster caviar roll was a must. I also really liked the French dip and it’s definitely up there on my list. But that Samoa sundae, omg best thing here and one of the best things I’ve had in a long time. Actually perfect!! Overall, super glad I got to finally experience the corner store and the perfect spot for a date.
we had low expectations going in due to all the reddit comments I’ve read but this actually exceeded our expectations.
we started with the daily off menu special (a yellowtail crudo) and it was pretty good but nothing extraordinary.
lobster & caviar toast was delicious, the brioche was so buttery and overall was not heavy.
The pizza rolls kinda fell short of expectations, it’s supposedly a fan favorite but it tasted just ok to us. The ranch dipping sauce was unique because it tasted healthy hah.
Caesar salad had delicious bagel and cream cheese croutons - overall probably a little over sauced but very good. Can probably be shared between 3-4 people, it was a bit much between the two of us.
We are not expert on French dips but the meat was tender and the bread was fluffy. Not sure what else we could ask for. It didn’t have much flavor without the jus & horseradish aioli but with them it did perfectly fine.
Fries were actually really good - probably don’t need to order all 3 sauces (avocado ranch, horseradish aioli, secret sauce). The horseradish aioli is similar (maybe the same) as the French dip sauce. The secret sauce was good though, so definitely get that one.
Lastly, do NOT miss the sundae - this was so good. I love a good dessert with a variety of textures!
