Three plates for £10 instead of £14.99 in our spoons in Barnsley, South Yorkshire on a Monday night!
Big bowl of chips, small freshly cooked Pepperoni Pizza and 10 fat juicy chicken wings with a superb Naga Chilli sauce on the side.
Who said it's grim up North!
No wonder so many places are closing down; how on earth do you compete with that.
The staff are so friendly, and nothing's too much trouble; it's got to be one of the best in the country.
Quite a big venue. First day we had a beer which I enjoyed but husband wasn't so keen on his. It's usually hit and miss as to what you get and some days are better than others.
I liked the fact that there was a lift to get up to the toilets as it is a struggle for me.
Second day we had coffees earlier in the day and returned later for food and a wine as the beers had not changed. Food was tasty and served quickly enough.
Overall a good venue and atmosphere
After trying the TRULY EPIC Big Smoke Brisket burger last week, this week I opted for the more expensive, Christmas-y, festive... Chicken, Stuffing and maple cured bacon Burger, topped with pigs in blankets. That was the best bit. Everything under the pigs in blankets tasted of bread. The very definition of a nothingburger.
Do better, Bramah's.
We were mugged today by the menu. It was very disappointing and about as close to Christmas as the summer solstice.
Service, as always was fine. Atmosphere was usual spoons, no one kicking off.
Decent Wetherspoons and much larger than expected.
Staff were happy to help and ensured our table was cleaned before our food and drinks arrived.

Worth a visit if you are near
I came here yesterday with the hubby and son for a meal and it was very cheap being around £28.22 including drinks and 3 deserts around £12.50. Then all of a sudden the very loud fire alarm came on out of the blue for no reason whatsoever and ok I get that there is a kitchen which could have triggered it but it's still not very nice to be stood outside for at least 5 mins for no reason especially if other people are smoking/vaping around you when I don't do any of them myself. After the fire alarm had ended the staff didn't even tell us what caused it even though they work there, overall 3 stars due the fire alarm going off spooking the hell out of my husband and son if it wasn't for that it would've probably been a 5 star review but yeah very cheap meals and deserts/ very tasty and provided us good table service
