We had a truly magical two-night stay at The Original Rosslyn Inn while celebrating my birthday with family and friends who had all travelled from Sweden.
The rooms were perfect, the dinner was absolutely delicious, and the staff were simply amazing—so warm, friendly, and welcoming. They made our celebration extra special.
Thank you for making my birthday unforgettable. We highly recommend The Original Rosslyn Inn and can't wait to return!
A local family run hidden gem, steeped in history and overflowing with high level hospitality. Our first time in Edinburgh and we definitely hit the jackpot in choosing The Original Roslynn Inn, which exceeded our expectations in every way. Our room was great with a bed that was more comfortable than our one at home! An amazing shower with super simple controls. A great menu and the food quality was off the chart. Super friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Great work everyone at TORI. A short cab ride into the city, so for us was a perfect base camp for our adventures in Edinburgh. Highly recommend and we will be back!!
Love this place, we were there on Friday with 3 kids and as always were made to feel very welcome, even when the little one got a bit hangry! The staff are all brilliant, friendly and helpful. The kids food options are fantastic, big plates and well balanced. The adults food is always fantastic, freshly made and plentiful. Great place in a great locations.
The bed was very comfortable and it has excellent links for the bus into Edinburgh. The staff were also very friendly. We slept very well during our stay.
For the price though, the included breakfast was the worst I’ve experienced at a hotel let alone at this price point. Very limited options - mini cereal, yoghurt, bread and jam. The coffee was also undrinkable. The second night we opted to not have breakfast because of the first experience. You could choose to pay for a cooked breakfast, the table next to us did and said that was tasty but after spending over £200 per night we did not want to spend more.
We would have spoken to staff about our experience on checkout but there was no one around.
A warm welcome preceded a fantastic one night stay at The Original Rosslyn Inn. NOTHING was too much trouble — from the moment we arrived they made our stay so easy and enjoyable. We overnighted ahead of a photoshoot for work but staying here made it feel like a mini break - wish it could have been longer! It was comfortable in every way, spotlessly clean, quiet, food was good and staff welcoming, accommodating, attentive and helpful 10/10 Highly recommend
