This is absolutely an elevated dining experience. My wife and I always love dining out here. We recently tried their happy hour menu. We basically tried almost ten different dishes as the happy hour menu is very robust. We ordered a variety of dishes and honestly, we loved all of them. It’s difficult to choose a favorite. There are so many different flavors and concepts with every plate. The creativity, level of execution, and plate presentation from the chefs are phenomenal. We also love the decor and atmosphere inside the restaurant. It’s dark and sets the mood for an intimate date night. The service is impeccable. The staff provided us with great recommendations of dishes to order and every few minutes, they were bringing out new plates of food and re-filling our drinks. The complimentary valet service was a nice touch as parking can be difficult in several places in Austin. The prices are a bit high, but it’s worth it for the quality of the dishes and the dining experience you get.
I was visiting the area and looking for a good sushi spot when I found out this was originally Uchi. I’ve been to the Miami location before and absolutely loved it, so I had high expectations—and they definitely delivered.
Everything was just as amazing as I remembered. The service was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was outstanding. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Loved, loved, loved everything! I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town.

So we FINALLY dined at this fantastic eatery. I have heard all the hype over the many years I've lived in Austin. And it's all legit! Wow, this food really knocked my socks off. A very cozy yet elegant decor, and the service was impeccable. Every dish was perfection. My husband and I went for his birthday and again for our anniversary. Wonderful date spot, and let them know if it's a special occasion, they made cute little signs for our table!

We chose the omakase-style tasting menu and a few à la carte, and every single dish was truly delicious—there wasn’t one course we didn’t enjoy. The quality of the food was exceptional and clearly reflects a high level of culinary skill.
The only critique I would offer is the pacing of the experience. At times, the courses felt rushed. On a few occasions, additional dishes were plated before we had finished the previous course, or food arrived and sat briefly, affecting the intended temperature. Where we were sitting in the middle of the dining room, the servers would rush by adding to the “rush” feel. I think everyone needs to slow down a bit and just enjoy. Given the level of craftsmanship involved, a slower, more intentional pace would allow each dish to be appreciated fully.
The servers were attentive and professional, though it was evident they were very busy. Menu descriptions were delivered quite quickly, which added to the overall feeling of being rushed. Slowing down slightly—both in service and explanation—would elevate the experience even further.
Overall, the food itself was outstanding, and with a more relaxed, deliberate flow, this restaurant could offer an even more memorable and immersive dining experience.

The food was amazing but unfortunately we had a reservation and still had to wait 45 min past our reservation time. The 10 course chefs meal was well worth it. We tried so many amazing dishes we had never had and it made the experience superb!
