An exceptionally fresh and well-balanced raw fish appetizer.
Dim sum is a style of Chinese cuisine comprising a large range of small, bite-sized dishes. These portions are traditionally served in small steamer baskets or on plates, often eaten for brunch with tea. While commonly associated with modern Cantonese cuisine, dim sum dishes also exist in other Chinese culinary traditions, with origins linked to teahouses in Canton (Guangzhou) around the tenth century where small food items were served to complement tea.
