Visited the bakery in the morning and bought three pastries to try. The apple turnover was freshly baked and still warm. The puff pastry was very light, flaky and buttery with a sweet apple filling; very tasty. The chocolate chip croissant had a soft tender bite with a bit of crispiness from the top layers. The baked chocolate chip and custard cream filling was pretty good, not too sweet. The twice baked chocolate almond croissant was soft and moist with very crispy edges, filled with a creamy almond frangipane and melted chocolate which was sweet and decadent. Overall very solid pastries with classic flavours done well.

I lined up for about 15 minutes on a Sunday arvo, and it was worth the wait. I tried their bestseller, the pandan croissant, and was lucky enough to order just as a fresh batch came out of the oven. It was piping hot and tasted amazing. The croissant was crispy and flaky on the outside, soft and light on the inside, and not oily at all. The pandan filling gave it a unique flavour that I really enjoyed. I would definitely go back.

Visited SMM a couple of months ago and got the pandan croissant and financier. We weren’t a fan of the pandan croissant, it was too sickly sweet and rich for our liking. Financier was great though. Especially because of how hard it is to find places that make them. Came back today and tried the canele and custard flan. Both were great. The custard filling of the flan was so good - delicious but not too sweet - and the pastry was crunchy and flaky 🤤

I love to line up for hyped places just so i could try if it was worth it, and this one’s definitely added to my “worth the hype 👍” list! As someone who has eatem dozens of pastries in Paris (self proclaimed connoisseur of croissants) - this has been a good experience! It wasn’t among the best, but good value nonetheless! Crispy and buttery pastry with luscious fillings, Perfect to be paired with coffee but that time we just ate lunch so it became a fantastic dessert instead😋
