Good coffee and a large variety of cakes and pastries. Smallish selection of good breads. I love that they are open until 5 but sometimes the sandwiches and filled rolls and baguettes look a bit tired. Seasonal specialties such as Buche de Noel and ginger bread houses. Friendly staff. Outdoor seating is available if you don’t mind the traffic of Bay St.
We only had coffee, and it came out promptly and hot - as requested. Magic!
Minimalist feel. Super looking range of pastries down the full length of the counter. Looks like many regulars visit here. That's a good sign. Lol

I've been coming here regularly, though less often lately - the coffee is consistently good, but the service can be a hit or a miss depending on the day.
Some tables (especially the one I usually sit at) and chairs often have croissant crumbs on them, which feels a bit off for a place at this price point. At times, there seems to be more happening behind the counter than on the floor, with tables left uncleared.
The place felt better run under the previous management, even with the same staff. Since the change, there appears to be higher turnover, which has affected overall consistency. The atmospehere has shifted too - it used to have pleasant French music, whereas now it's mostly hip hop and pop, which doesn't quite match the cafe's original feel.
The food is tasty, the veggie sandwich is my usual favourites, and from the pastries, the almond croissant pairs really well with a coffee. The veggie sandwich is on the pricer side. With a coffee, it'll set you back close to $25.

They open at 6:30am which was perfect for us leaving our AIRBNB ... we dropped in to collect coffees, bread and some pastries before heading off to look after our grand children. Service was great and all the purchases were terrific.
