Must try experience, I never had such interesting combination of Chinese and diner food fusion in the same dish…!
We got the:
Scallion Waffle with Sambal Butter
Cheeseburger fried rice
Shrimp toast (my favorite)
Pandan ice cream (mini sundae $10)
Everything was very unique and tasty… the cheeseburger fried rice tastes like a Big Mac but as fried rice, such a fun twist.
Our server was really nice and friendly too.
Peculiar little Michelin rated fusion diner located in Houston Heights. Unique and stylish decor. Friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeably staffed and sure to have something on the menu you didn’t know you came to enjoy. The twist on chicken and waffles and tweak on eggs Benedict were both 5-star winners. Apparently they have a separate menu for dinner so I’ll be sure to check that out next time I’m in the area!

Excellent food and service. The deconstructed Rangoon were really good as an appetizer. I personally wasn't a fan of the shrimp toast but the steak and fries and short rib entrees were great. Overall a great experience and after seeing some of the other dishes go by, looking forward to going back.

Wow! I stopped by Agnes and Sherman on a Wednesday after work. I probably made it there around 5:15. I was one of the first people in the building, but soon after it filled up. Just walking up it gives a modern twist to a retro diner. When I walked in, I immediately said that this place was super cute. They had a nice playlist going, and everyone was so nice and energetic. They have happy hour all day on Wednesdays and Thursdays. So I started with the happy hour fried chicken wings, and the scallion waffle. That waffle was 10 out of 10! The chicken wings were very flavorful and crispy on the outside but juicy on the inside. I also had a watermelon frozen margarita. It was pretty good. Nice and refreshing for the summer. The portion sizes are huge, so be prepared to split your dishes and still have enough to bring home. We tried the rice cakes dish and the egg foo young. I really enjoyed both dishes. The rice cakes dish did have a little spice to it, which I enjoyed. The other dish was also flavorful. They usually give you hot sauce on the side for it, and I do recommend adding it for an extra kick. We also split the bean-coffee pie, which was really good. It was very light. sweet but not too sweet. I highly recommend grabbing a few friends and stopping by this place. It’s in the Heights area. I didn’t have any trouble parking on a Wednesday late afternoon. The service was also very great.

This place came highly recommended and definitely lived up to the hype!! We ordered family style and every dish we got was SO GOOD! The scallion waffle with orange chicken is for sure a must get and the kim-chilaquiles and cheeseburger fried rice were also both amazing. I love how creative the dishes are, and how cute the restaurant is! Our server also recommended the brown butter cookie and it was one of the best cookies I’ve ever had.
