Aquavit was the perfect high end restaurant choice for our visit to New York City. The meal was paced perfectly, with just the right timing between courses, allowing us to fully enjoy each dish without ever feeling rushed or waiting too long. The food was outstanding—every course was flavorful, yet light, leaving us satisfied but not overly full. The staff was so fantastic: warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever feeling stuffy. They created an atmosphere that felt both polished and comfortable. The dining room itself is beautiful, elegant, and inviting, making the entire experience even more memorable. From the food and service to the ambiance, Aquavit delivered an exceptional dining experience and was truly the perfect restaurant to choose in New York City.
Celebrated my birthday dinner at Aquavit and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Every dish was exceptional — the flavors, the presentation, the service — everything was spot on from start to finish. I especially love the crudo with cucumber sorbet. This place made my special night even more memorable. I cannot wait to go back!

Wonderful lunch at Aquavit. Did a 5-course tasting which is such a great deal for the city for what you get. Everything was good to exceptional with the wagyu sup, birds nest (obvious) and Chilean sea bass winning out for me. Other secondary components/dishes like the creamy elk opener, Swedish caviar, and Iberico rillettes were awesome bites or compliments to the primary dishes. The pairing was very complimentary and service was excellent. Highly recommended

My husband and I visited Aquavit to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing Michelin two-star experiences I have had.
From the moment we arrived, the hostesses felt cold and unwelcoming. We were asked to check our anniversary bouquet because there was supposedly not enough space at our table, yet we were seated at a small table by the window while larger tables in the main dining area appeared available. After we requested to move, we were accommodated immediately, which made the initial explanation difficult to understand.
No handbag stool or basket was offered until I requested one myself. While this may seem like a small detail, these are the details that define hospitality at a Michelin-level restaurant.
I also noticed that the only other occupied table in our section was occupied by Chinese guests. I understand there may have been a seating rationale, but combined with the cold interactions, the overall experience left us feeling unwelcome on what was supposed to be a special celebration.
To Aquavit’s credit, management did respond and acknowledged some service shortcomings. However, after I clarified that the main issue was not the table or the bouquet, but the overall feeling of being unwelcome, I did not receive any further response.
The food was acceptable but not memorable enough to make up for the lack of warmth and attentiveness.
Overall, a disappointing experience that did not meet the hospitality standards I expected from a Michelin two-star restaurant.

Aquavit is an excellent 2 star rated Michelin restaurant! We ordered the 7 course Chefs tasters menu. Everything that came out of that kitchen was excellent. The service was very good. The ambiance was equally very good. I must say, in all my life- i've never had a more fun time eating the Chefs special dessert. The Birds Nest! This dessert is absolutely one of the best deserts i've ever eaten.
