Balans In Kensington

During our recent stay in London, we had the pleasure of dining at Balans—not once, but twice in the same day, which in itself says quite a lot. We first visited for breakfast, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The sourdough bread was perfectly toasted—crisp on the outside, yet wonderfully soft within. Topped with fresh avocado and accompanied by beautifully scrambled eggs, the dish struck that rare balance between simplicity and indulgence. The eggs were creamy and expertly seasoned, clearly prepared with care. Every bite felt thoughtfully composed, and the quality of the ingredients truly shone through. The experience lingered with us throughout the day, and by evening, we found ourselves returning—drawn back by just how satisfying the morning had been. Dinner did not disappoint in the slightest. The burger was hearty and flavourful, cooked precisely to order, and served with all the classic accompaniments one hopes for. Equally impressive was the beef sugo pasta: rich, comforting, and deeply savoury, with a sauce that tasted as though it had been simmered for hours to achieve its depth. What truly sets Balans apart is its consistency and atmosphere. Whether for a relaxed breakfast or a cosy dinner, the ambience remains welcoming and vibrant, with attentive service that enhances the overall experience without ever feeling intrusive. All in all, Balans proved to be more than just a convenient dining spot—it became a memorable part of our London visit. The fact that we returned twice in one day speaks volumes, and we would gladly do so again on our next trip.
