Our stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. Everything exceeded our expectations from the moment we arrived.
The hotel kindly upgraded our room at a very reasonable price to make sure we had the best possible experience, and we truly appreciated that thoughtful gesture. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and made our stay even more enjoyable.
The reception team and all the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. A special thank you to Georgia, who greeted us every day with a warm smile and such positive energy. She was always happy to help and gave us excellent recommendations that made our visit to Banff even more memorable.
We would also like to thank Finn, who was extremely helpful when we first arrived. His friendly assistance made our check-in smooth and made us feel welcome right away.
Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We highly recommend this hotel and would be delighted to stay here again on our next visit to Banff!
This hotel is really nicely located juste behind Banff Avenue, so it's close to everything without being right in the traffic! There's an underground parking for a cost but it's worth it since we used the bus to visit around. The rooms are renovated and clean, they seem to all have balconies! It was quiet at night and the bed is very comfy. And the maid was doing a great job! The service at Reception was great, always happy to guide or help us. The buffet at breakfast was one of the most impressive delicious one i've been to. It's not included but so worth it. All fruits were fresh, there was everything you could imagine and if not, we could order a la carte at no extra cost.

It was a very nice hotel in a very convenient area. Rooms were very large. We enjoyed spending every night in the pool and hot tub. I do wish they included breakfast and parking for customers though. With the price of the hotel it should be included or at least discounted. Breakfast was $27/person which is a bit much for a breakfast buffet. Parking was $14/night.

We stayed here recently and was thoroughly satisfied with our room and amenities offered by Banff Park Lodge.
The rooms are recently updated so it feels modern, new, clean, and comfortable. Every part of the room was impressive (we know a lot of hotels in town are vintage and reflects the age so it's nice to see a modern update).
The pool was a decent size with jet hot tub and a steam room. There's changing rooms so you don't need to be in your swimsuit coming down to the main floor to swim.
There's a small gym which included an elliptical, treadmill, and even free weights of decent weights.
We enjoyed our stay at Banff Park Lodge so much that we already booked for our next trip.

I stayed at Banff Park Lodge on April 24–25, 2026 while attending the ELAC teachers’ conference being hosted on-site.
On the first night, our in-room alarm went off at approximately 5:00am for no apparent reason. While disruptive, I initially did not feel it warranted a complaint.
However, on the second night, the fire alarm sounded at approximately 1:15am and again around 2:30am (I attached a photo of the evacuation for reference). After evacuating, we were informed by the front desk, in response to our text, that these were false alarms.
These repeated overnight incidents woke our 2-year-old multiple times and caused significant loss of rest.
This was especially concerning given that the ELAC conference was being hosted at the hotel and substantial registration fees had been paid to attend. Breakfast and keynote programming were included in those fees, and due to the lack of sleep, I was no longer reasonably able to attend portions of the morning programming that had already been paid for.
The General Manager explained that the overnight fire alarms were traced to a faulty smoke detector that had to be replaced after the second activation. While I appreciate the acknowledgment that the situation was unacceptable, the overall response still felt inadequate considering the extent of the disruption across both nights.
A 20% reduction to the room rate and waived parking fees did not feel proportionate to the experience of multiple overnight evacuations, interrupted sleep, and the impact this had on both our family and our ability to participate in a professional conference we had specifically traveled to attend.
While I understand that safety procedures must take priority, three overnight alarm disruptions across two nights — with the second night involving repeated building evacuations in the middle of the night — were not acceptable for paying guests relying on the hotel to provide a stable environment for rest during a professional conference.
