Calabria

Nice Italian restuarant. Most of the dishescwere great. Reasonably priced. For some reason I was not able to make a reservation on ontopo, so we had to wait about half an hour.

Well, maybe my expectations were too high, but I read quite a few reviews which were positive so I had to give it a try, and unfortunately it wasn’t as good as I thought it would be. The pizza was very simple, the ravioli lacked taste, and the lemon meringue was very plain and we ate so little of it that we received a complimentary milk ice cream which was nice (but also not very special). The service was very good and the vibe of this place is great so it was a shame the food didn’t quite leveled up.

The food was amazing, the servers were very friendly and knowledgeable. We came without a reservation but they found us a place fairly quickly. Highly recommend!

As someone that travels really often and choose carefully where I eat, I have to say, I was dying for pasta and wanted something authentic and well balanced Z calabria and Kapara, were both on my list for a while, so when I finally got back to Tlv and had some time, I went. Have to say, they make the best pasta in Israel. From their carbonara to the Ox tail. The cacio e Pepe was ok. And I’ve had better. I was disappointed from the lack of wine in their selection (literally 3 really bad ones) and no cocktail menu (which is ok, I guess you go as authentic as it goes). Biggest disappointment, was the fact that there are no mains. Literally, starters, salad and pasta. Wish they had like a perfectly made fish or meat or something to balance the amount of carbs. Anyway, amazing food. Skip the cacio e Pepe but defo make sure to order the Ox tail. I’ll go again, next time, with my own wine.
