Friendly staff and a really cozy tavern-like atmosphere with a special charm to it. Definitely try the chicken — it’s slightly spicy, juicy, and not dry at all. Simple, but very enjoyable. The fried cauliflower is a solid vegetarian option as well. The cake was way too sweet for my taste, especially with the extra caramel on top — a bit overwhelming. I also tried a dish that was something like a sour-style goulash (unfortunately can’t remember the name), and yes, it was definitely quite sour. Overall, the food is solid, but the real reason to come here is the ambiance. Don’t expect a spectacular culinary experience — expect a warm, relaxed atmosphere and a great place to sit, talk, and enjoy a meal. An unpretentious place in the best way. I’d definitely come back.

Great place. For food, the highlight was the rice and piri piri chicken. The service was quick and efficient. There’s 2 levels, if you ask nicely and they can accommodate, they are nice and seat you upstairs. Our waiter was an absolute gem (didn’t get his name, he wears glasses and was scheduled when I went last Friday night), such a nice person.

Yum! The peri peri chicken was delightful, and definitely the best I’ve had in London so far. The vegetables were also cooked very nicely and were tasty. The rice I would also highly recommend and went really well with the chicken. Overall, an excellent choice for lunch and I would highly recommend it.

Food: The food here is really good. The peri peri chicken in particular is a highlight as well as the bacalau. It's something that was made super well alongside the shoestring fries. The bread also was made well as well Service: Unfortunately, this is somewhere I felt that it has fallen short. Because my friend showed up late that day and even though I came in early, I realised that the wait staff constantly were staring and lurking at my table to pressure me to order which created a sense of unwanted pressure throughout. It's a bit of a shame because the food is good. Atmosphere: Very lively and the customers seemed like they were enjoying themselves. However, I also noticed what happened to me in the service happening at the other tables as well. Unfortunately, despite the food being really good, the service unfortunately is making this a one and done restaurant rather than one that is worth revisiting.

This is as good as it gets outside of Portugal for authentic Piri Piri Chicken! Absolutely grilled to perfection with great tasting oil (not sauce like fake Nando’s) The chorizo as a starter was delicious, also share a portion of the belly pork (even though it’s a main, you won’t be disappointed, awesome. Not our first or second visit, will definitely not be our last! The gentleman from Brazil with the glasses on upstairs at 12pm on Monday 16th was a perfect server as was the polite lady at the reception.
