Additional Details
Cecconi's DUMBO is part of a larger group of Cecconi's restaurants, with its menu drawing inspiration from the original Mayfair location. Its location within Empire Stores offers a unique dining experience by the waterfront.
Cecconi's DUMBO serves lunch and dinner daily, with a popular weekend brunch feast. It's highly recommended for special occasions or as a destination to end an evening after exploring the DUMBO neighborhood, especially to enjoy the scenic views.
Cecconi’s Dumbo definitely delivers when it comes to the views and atmosphere. The location is beautiful and the ambiance makes it a great spot for a nice lunch or dinner. It can get very busy on nice days, and parking in the area can be difficult, but that’s pretty much expected in Dumbo.
The food was delicious and the customer service was great—no complaints there at all. My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish they had more meat options. There was only one steak option when we visited, and it was a steak for two for around $190. I would have loved to see a good steak option for one person on the menu.
For an idea of pricing, we had 1 appetizer, 2 entrées, 2 drinks, 2 coffees, and 2 desserts, and the total came to around $270 before tip.
Overall, a great experience with amazing views, delicious food, and excellent service. Add a steak option for one and this would easily be a 5-star experience for me.
An excellent dining experience. We say outside and has amazing views of Manhattan and the Manhattan bridge. I loved the ambiance of the indoor seating too.
Food was very very good. The filet mignon was excellent, calamari some of the best I’ve had. The caccio e pepe was ok. The tiramisu was some bastardized, alohol less version.
Would definitely go back!

I recently had dinner at Cecconi’s DUMBO, located at 55 Water Street in Brooklyn, NY, and overall it was a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the atmosphere. The restaurant has a sophisticated yet welcoming vibe, with elegant décor, warm lighting, and a stylish interior that perfectly complements its iconic DUMBO location. It feels upscale without being intimidating, making it a great place for date nights, family gatherings, or dinner with friends.
The food was excellent from start to finish. We started with appetizers and fresh bread, which set the tone for a memorable meal. The pizza was one of the highlights of the evening. It had a perfectly blistered crust, fresh ingredients, and a wonderful balance of flavors. You can tell the pizza is made with care and attention to quality.
I also ordered the steak, and it was outstanding. It was cooked exactly as requested, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Every bite was satisfying, and the quality of the ingredients really stood out. The portions were generous, and the presentation was beautiful. Everything we ordered felt thoughtfully prepared and worthy of the restaurant’s reputation.
Another aspect that made the experience enjoyable was the service. Our server was friendly, professional, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The staff checked on us regularly and ensured that everything was running smoothly throughout the meal. Great service can elevate a dining experience, and the team at Cecconi’s certainly delivered.
The only downside of an otherwise excellent visit was the payment process. It appears the restaurant is still using an older POS system that does not efficiently handle split checks. Since our group wanted to split the bill, the server had to manually calculate each person’s share using a calculator. While the staff handled it professionally, the process took longer than expected and felt outdated compared to modern restaurant payment systems that can split bills instantly. Upgrading the POS system would greatly improve convenience for both customers and staff.
Despite that minor issue, Cecconi’s DUMBO remains a restaurant I would highly recommend. The beautiful ambiance, delicious pizza, perfectly cooked steak, and exceptional service made for a memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning and enjoying another meal at this wonderful Brooklyn destination.

I went to Cecconi’s DUMBO with my friend and absolutely loved it! We started with the Eggplant Parmigiana, which is listed as a main course, but we ordered it as an appetizer to share and it was a 10/10. We also had the Zucchini Fritti, which are basically like zucchini fries, and they were delicious, also a 10/10. For our main courses, we ordered two pastas. The Cavatelli Lamb Ragu with artichokes was a 7/10. If you like lamb and prefer a heavier pasta, this is a good option, but it wasn’t my favorite of the night. The Bucatini Cacio e Pepe with black truffle, however, was WOW!! definitely a 10/10 and my favorite dish! For drinks, we had the Apple Aperol Spritz, which was so refreshing and perfect for the warm weather, another 10/10. The service was spectacular, and the ambiance was beautiful. Sitting outside with the Brooklyn Bridge view was definitely the highlight. Overall, I had such a great experience and would absolutely come back!🤍
