Ive been loving Federal Donuts since the 15th and Sansom location. The 1909 Sansom Center City location is a HUGE upgrade. Great art deco, old school decor. Lots of places to sit. Donuts are completely RAWKING still. Today was a new revelation with piping hott Vanilla Cardomom. Watched the process backstage. They have an amazing way of making the donut hot, fresh without being heavy.
Ive loved the Lavender icing for a very long time. Today's indulgences include Chocolate Eclair, Spiced Cake with Lavender glaze and Earl Grey icing (the spiced cake is delicious. Had it previously with Pumpkin icing). Lots of donuts have become kitchen sinks of ingredients but somehow Federal has the right balance of flavors and Umami for a superior Donut.

Federal Donuts & Chicken location in Center City has very high quality donuts with professional staff members that love their job. This store even does catering orders on EZ Cater. Keep up the good work ethic 👍

Definitely go for the fresh doughnuts. They are freshly made and taste much better than the ones sitting there. The strawberry lavender was good, not much lavender flavour. Cookies and cream was good too. Can’t really go wrong with any one of them. Coffee was descent too. Washroom was nice and clean.

Donuts were awesome! Freshly cooked and delicious! We ordered classic sugar cinnamon and strawberry lavender donuts. The sugar cinnamon donut is pretty delicious. But, strawberry lavender donut was so so.. I couldn’t taste the lavender at all. I am not big cake base donut.
The staffs were super friendly and nice. The service was pretty fast and the place is pretty clean.

Went on a Sunday morning around 11am and the line was long but it moved quickly. The donuts were very creative flavors and the strawberry lavender flavor was delicious freshly made and the chicken sandwich was also good. I was also surprised at the reasonable prices in the city. The coffee, however, was terrible - so bad that it spoiled an otherwise 5-star experience.
