Galera Fish Restaurant

We went to Galera a lot of times whilst staying in Afytos. It’s located on the pathway looking over the sea in the main part of the town. We really liked getting our pork souvlaki and beer for lunch, it tasted really good and even better to enjoy it with the sea view! We loved the toasted bread with tzatziki so much that when we got back to England we replicated it at home! Each time we came back they gave us the table we liked and by the last visit they had even memorised our order! For dinner we tried the shrimps & octopus, you get a generous portion of shrimps which I was very happy with and it was the first time we tried octopus! Each time the food came out in good time & equally we didn’t feel rushed to go, especially at lunch time which was lovely to have a slow paced relaxing meal to really take it all in. The staff looked after us very well and were so friendly and welcoming. Both the servers and the man out the front engaged in nice conversation, had a laugh with us and made us feel so at home. Value for money is fair with a main being between about €12-€21 of course depending on what you got. Our pork souvlaki for example was €12 which included chips and a couple of times we got the cheese croquettes which were SO GOOD (I can’t remember cost for those but I think about €7) I wished we had got them sooner!
